Make your Hillsdale County home base in one of the earliest houses in Jonesville, conveniently located 10 minutes from Hillsdale College. The house is a solid preservered house which invites you to kick off your shoes and relax. It has a full kitchen, a large dining table and beds for 6 persons. There is one bathroom which has a shower and plenty of hot water. Full kitchen. Washer and dryer. When I first saw this house for sale in 2022, I fell in love with it. Originally built is 1838 and kept up well for all those years, Walt and Jean Rupp had purchased it in the 1990s so Jean could attach the back of it to their yard and she totally devoted her retirement years to carving an English garden out of it. Meanwhile Walt restored the interior of the Rupp house, and they used it briefly as a guest house, and then it sat empty for years as Walt continued to maintain it. We totally repainted the interior, removed 4 layers of old roofing, and it is now set to share with others. I absolutely love it, but my home is on the farm south of Hillsdale; restoring and sharing it makes my soul happy.
