The historic town of Ludlow is just 3 miles away and the Severn Valley Railway (22 miles) makes a great family day out. The stylish detached lodge is bright and airy, with crisp white walls and panoramic windows framing spectacular waterside views. Chic furniture and elegant accessories bring a touch of luxury to each area. The spacious lounge/kitchen/diner is the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Curl up on the sofa in front of the wood burner to watch a film on the Smart TV or, on a warm evening, throw open the floor-to-ceiling sliding doors to let the outdoors in and enjoy the relaxing sound of birdsong and the tranquil views out over the water. Outside, you have a private patio with outdoor furniture and a BBQ, overlooking the fishing pool, as well as a wooded area to the rear for shady picnics. There’s also a lockable store for bikes and fishing gear. Fill your lungs with fresh air on a trip to Mortimer Forest. Take a shady stroll under the trees – perfect on a hot day – and explore the rich wildlife along a series of waymarked walking trails. The Severn Valley Railway is a great way to get a taste of Shropshire’s varied landscape. Board the heritage steam train in Bridgnorth (22 miles) and journey for 16 miles through breathtaking scenery to the market town of Kidderminster. The lodge is set within 20 acres of land and fishing is available on site in one of the five fishing pools.
