The community around the chalet is a charming and vibrant one, located in the picturesque setting of Lake Arrowhead. Lake Arrowhead is home to several wonderful lakes and ponds, including Little Bear Lake, Little Fawn Lake, Macatawa Lake, Nisula Lake, Swan Lake, and the centerpiece of our community, Buhl Lake. Buhl Lake, the heart of our community, stretches across approximately 120 acres and boasts depths ranging from 15 to 30 feet, providing a serene and inviting environment for various recreational activities.
During the summer months, you'll enjoy a pleasant climate, with average temperatures hovering around 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Buhl Lake is a haven for fishermen and water sports enthusiasts, with the understanding that no wake is allowed between the hours of 8:30 PM and 10:00 AM to ensure peaceful enjoyment for all.
Each of the six subdivisions surrounding Buhl Lake features neighborhood parks, most of which are equipped with picnic tables and play equipment for family-friendly outings. Anita's Park, our main gathering place, offers a range of amenities, including a Basketball/Pickleball court, a fishing dock for anglers, a designated lake swim area complete with a raft, and Lancaster Hall, which houses our office, a welcoming pavilion, and our community pool.
The community pool typically operates from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m, starting from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Parents are kindly requested to supervise their children at all times, as there are no lifeguards on duty. This community offers an array of opportunities to connect with nature and fellow residents, creating an ideal backdrop for a memorable and enjoyable stay at our chalet.
