La Torretta is a very special villa near Cortona with a wonderful panoramic view over the Val di Chiana. This historic building was originally built in the 14th century as a watchtower and later extended for residential purposes. It belonged to the stately estate of the Tommasi family. The villa is laid out on three levels, with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, which are stylishly furnished in Tuscan style and can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests on circa 250 sqm. On the first floor there is a large living room with fireplace the kitchen a dining area a bedroom with double bed and small desk a bathroom with shower and bidet On the 1st floor you will find a bedroom with a double bed, a ceiling up to 4 meters high and an ensuite bathroom with bathtub a bedroom with two single beds and a small desk a shower room a work area with a desk On the 2nd floor is a bedroom with two single beds and a WC. Outdoor area with various terraces and a separate wash house. The swimming pool is only open from the beginning of May. Unfortunately, this date cannot be brought forward under any circumstances.

The pictures of the villa don’t do this place justice. It was even more beautiful in person tucked away in the hills of Cortona. I spent a few days here to celebrate my birthday with my six close friends and it was the most unreal experience. The villa itself was easy to get to by car (must have a small car for the tight roads leading up) and we spent the weekend relaxing outside on the grass, cooking meals, visiting Cortona, and going on a private wine tour in Montepulciano. It felt like we were in a movie the entire time, this part of Tuscany was incredibly picturesque. Marc was very responsive and helpful to any of our needs and gave us recommendations for local food/grocery shops. I would 100% recommend Marc’s place to anyone looking to relax and immerse themselves within the hills of Tuscany. I will 100% be back in the future ◡̈
I stayed with my family of five and we were more than happy with the home. It felt like being in a dream. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery as well as the surrounding towns. Marc was an excellent host, he was kind and very helpful.

We had such a magical time at La Torretta! Marc is an amazing host. He had lots of very thoughtful attentions and was always very responsive and friendly. The house is absolutely gorgeous and just 10minutes away from the stunning Cortona. We were 4 adults and 3 young children, and we absolutely loved visiting Cortona and its surroundings together, enjoying dinners in the beautiful diningroom, playing games and relaxing by the fireplace or playing in the garden. Thank you again for such a wonderful time in this beautiful house!

The nearest train stations are Camucia-Cortona and Terontola.
