Enjoy your holiday with family or friends in this spacious and comfortable holiday flat with its big balcony and views on the surrounding mountains and the Alps. Situated on the ground floor, the flat is easily accessible from the large parking lot belonging to the building. The Ste-Croix area offers numerous possibilities of hiking and walks as well as winter sports, especially cross-country and snowshoes (depending on snow availability) The flat is situated in a building with about 20 flats, partly occupied the whole year, the rest being holiday homes. It has a living room with a sitting and a dining area and a fully equipped open kitchen, with access to the large balcony; a master bedroom with a double bed (160 cm); a second bedroom equipped with a comfortable bed-couch large enough for two people (160 cm) and two working tables and access to the balcony; a bathroom with tub; separate guest toilets. A fold-up bed for a fifth guest can be set up in the second room or the living-room by request but be aware that the available space is very limited and the bed would need to be folded by day. A folding baby-bed can be installed in the main bedroom by request. The balcony is equipped with a dining table with chairs, another set of comfortable chairs and a hammock. The Wi-Fi connection is good and adapted for tele-working. To guarantee the security of the guests, using the fireplace is forbidden. A cupboard for skis is available in the corridor out of the flat. Access to the flat is not completely barrier-free (15 cm high doorstep at the entrance of the building) but it is on the ground level with easy access without any stairs from the lower parking lot. It is therefore accessible for persons with reduced mobility who do not need a wheelchair.
Mit unkomplzierter Beschreibung der Wohnungsfindung und Schlüsselübergabe starteten wir in unsere einwöchige Skiferien. Den Schnee dazu haben wir auf dem Chasserol (Schneewanderung) und Creux du van (Schneeschuhwanderung der Krete entlang, einzige Gäste) gefunden. Ein Spa- und Lunchaufenthalt im altehrwürdigen Hotel in Le Rasse und Ausflug nach Pontarlier (F) mit gutem „Lädelifeeling“ bereicherten die Ferien. Die Wohnung ist sehr heimelig - ein wenig viel Schnickschnack, das macht es aber gerade wieder gemütlich! Kathrin und Mandi um die 60, Deutschschweiz
Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir à y séjourner ! L’appartement est très joli et confortable, et la vue est magnifique ! De plus, Anne-Pascale était super dispo pour répondre à nos questions. Nous avons adoré ces quelques jours chez elle et nous nous réjouissons de pouvoir y retourner !
The Cyre building is situated in the residential area called Petites Roches built on a south leaning slope at an altitude of 1063 m, about 3 km outside the village of Ste-Croix. It takes about 5 minutes to drive to the village, or 25 minutes to walk on a footpath (not cleared in case of snowfall). Ste-Croix has 3 supermarkets, chemists, backers, and several restaurants.
Several hiking trails can be reached directly from the flat, such as Gorges de Covatannaz, Les Rasses – Chasseron, Bullet etc. (information in the flat).
Several groups of containers for waste disposal and recycling are available close to the building (information in the flat).
Ste-Croix train station (Yverdon-Ste-Croix or back available every hour) is 5 minutes away by car and 35 min. on foot. There is a good network of buses around Ste-Croix but none leading directly to the Petite Roche area. It is therefore preferable to come by car.
Numerous parking spaces are available in the two parking lots above and next to the building. The access ramp to the lower parking lot is cleared in the winter but in case or heavy snowfall it is recommended to park in the parking lot at the top.
