Stunning harbour views in a fully self-contained separate house. 5 minutes walk to a lovely beach. 20 minutes from the CBD by car, 30 minutes by (frequent) bus. 5 minutes to the supermarket and 10 minutes to the local shopping centre with abundant cafes and restaurants. This property is up a steep drive but there is a parking area at the top, by the house. This is a comfortable furnished one-bedroom flat up one flight of stairs. (The bottom floor is unoccupied and awaiting renovation.)

Perfect location, exactly where I needed to be. Had everything as described, also a comfortable bed and excellent shower. Walking distance to shops, ferry and facilities etc… Wayne was an excellent host and highly recommend the property if staying in Beach Haven area.
We found this to be exactly as described and were very comfortable. However, we feel access to the building may be a problem for anyone with mobility issues as it is very steep and the parking is on a slope too.

Beach Haven (as the name suggests) is a harbourside suburb on the North Shore of Auckland. It has a direct route into the central city, and motorway access (north and south) is only 10 minutes' drive from the house. Beach Haven shopping centre has a cafe open in the evening for dinner and a genuine Alsation-French cafe open during the day, a pharmacy, several takeaways, etc. Birkenhead (5-10 mins) is a bigger shopping centre with a wide variety of shops and eateries.
Driving around the Birkenhead-Beach Haven area is straight-forward and there is plenty of free parking in the shopping centres. During the day (outside peak commuter time), other parts of the city are easily accessible due to the closeness of the motorway. There is a very reliable and frequent bus service into the city centre (and some other parts of the city) that takes about 30 minutes and goes via Birkenhead shopping centre.
