Juan’s place was perfect! So comfortable and better than the pictures. It was great having 3br/3baths. The living area/kitchen is open and roomy and peaceful because the view takes up the whole space and balcony opens right up. Very safe neighborhood and walkable to everything you need. There’s restaurants right outside but noise level is not an issue. The weather during our visit was ideal but it did get got during the night and unfortunately there is only a fan but the airflow in the house is good. I can’t say enough good things about Juan’s place and his hospitality. I look forward to visiting again!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Medellin. Had to give a 3 star review because the apartment is not as shown in the photos. The front sitting area and hammock no longer exist. A wall has been added, which now closes off another room with a bed. We were looking forward to using the hammock. Also, hosts are charging us to replace a towel! Other things to note: Staff was wonderful (didn’t speak English but we got by). Area is noisy, even w/ doors & windows shut. No AC made some days/nights uncomfortable, as it was abnormally warm in the city. Air pollution is very bad, which made it tough to leave doors/windows open for air flow. Apartment has design flaws to be aware of: Bathroom sink water pours over if faucet is turned on all the way. Shower didn’t drain well in one bathroom. Bathroom mirrors are hung abnormally low. Furniture/beds are not comfy. Sheets are rough. Carpets need replaced. Sewer smells really bad thru bathroom pipes. Minimal basics are provided. Nice view. Walkable.
A great place to stay in a very relaxing part of the city. The apartment looks even better in person and the rooms and bathrooms were spotless. My group and I loved staying here and it was one of the highlights of our trip. I would highly recommend this listing to anyone.
Lindo apartamento, cómodo y super bien ubicado en Laureles. Los anfitriones son simpáticos y están siempre pendientes. Recomendado!
