This place didn’t really match photos. The backyard is in rough shape and the outdoor furniture is unusable and needs replaced. The downstairs had a noticeable sewer smell that needs addressed. The dishes are hand cleaned and last person did not clean them well. Also there was no grill and no mattress cover on king bed.

Booked this home last minute bc prev home canceled w/ less than 24 hrs notice for oberlin family wknd. Everything was new- coffee pot never used, towels still w/tags on them, lamps not plugged, etc. Beds & furniture were comfy, kitchen well stocked. Overall it appeared clean, convenient location, easy checkin. Would’ve been great EXCEPT- As soon as we opened the door, we were overwhelmed by the stale smell of cigarette smoke. It’s a nonsmoking property, but clearly a previous owner smoked inside for YEARS. Our kids have asthma, so I reached out to the AWFUL airbnb service. Response time was awful, Took 24+ hrs (after kids asleep) to get back to us w/ more expensive options we’d have to pay the difference for. Owner also unable to help, but very concerned about this review. We slept w/ windows open in 35 deg weather, my sons got coughs, & my husband is still recovering from bronchitis. I feel guilty for staying but, w/out an affordable, timely alternative, we had no choice!
