Stunning views, 12 acre property, private deck and hot tub, relaxing steam room, hike down into the gorge, unique light design - enjoy our monolithic dome experience getaway as you soak in the unobstructed mountain and desert views while pampering yourself. We provide everything you need, from kitchenette to strong internet to musical instruments. Morning yoga on the deck, a beautiful sunset walk, loosening sore muscles in the steam room, or a hot soak under the stars - this is the perfect stay. This dome is on 12 acres that you're welcome to explore and hike out of! You also have a fenced in yard with tons of trees, private deck and hot tub, and steam room. The monolithic dome is extremely well insulated and maintains cool temperatures inside even when it's hot out - no need for air conditioning. There is a stocked kitchenette in the master closet with fridge, freezer, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, wine glasses, plates, and everything you need to enjoy a simple meal or get creative with the BBQ. Get comfy and cozy on our giant bean bag while enjoying a fire in the wood fire stove and looking out through the picture window at the glowing mountains. Enjoy music on our record player, bluetooth speaker, or jam out on some of our instruments. We love to read, so we've provided a selection of our favorite literature for your enjoyment.

The Dome Home was spectacular. You drive down the road and are met with a wall of gorgeous pine trees engulfing the home. Which is a contrast to the high desert landscape. The location is my favorite in the area so I booked right away. The home is decorated beautifully and the outdoor space is private and peaceful. My dog and I loved morning and sunset walks on the trails that are right off the driveway. I especially enjoyed the hot tub during the sunset into the pink super moon. I did have to work a bit and the wifi worked great. I’ve stayed in dozens of airbnbs in the area, and this was a highlight.
We enjoyed a peaceful birthday weekend in this beautiful Dome. Everything was perfect. Wish we could've stayed longer!
The stay was lovely. Hot tub under a wild night sky to the cry of coyote. We slept in (never happens), with a cool breeze through the window. The location is 4 miles down a very craggy dirt road so plan accordingly. We rented a Tesla. Wouldn't recommend that. :) There was no flexibility on check in or check out... We found the 4:00pm check in challenging given that we were coming from out of town. I will check that in advance next time. The space if beautiful though and New Mexico wild.
This is an absolutely beautiful airbnb and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Taos. We were only here for a couple of days but I wish we could have stayed longer. The space is tranquil and offers visitors a peaceful retreat, especially the hot tub set against the mountain landscape. The views from this home are exquisite and it was so nice to walk on the property at sunset. The location is quite remote and the kitchen is limited, so plan accordingly. Hosts communicated with us throughout our stay and made us feel more than welcome.
Incredible experience like no other to be on that other-worldly land and to see that many stars. . An engagement may have happened ;) Incredibly comfortable space, luxurious. Really loved the full bookshelves.

Our dome is at the end of the road, so there is absolutely no through traffic - nice and quiet! We have only three visible neighbors, pretty far away, so it is extremely private. The closest asphalt road is 3 miles away, so we hardly ever hear any road noise. This is a very private getaway. You have a private parking spot right next to your deck. The driveway continues past your parking area to a completely separate parking area for the second airbnb on the property - the other half of the dome. You may see the other guests drive down the driveway, and they share the 12-acre property with you, but your patio, deck, hot tub, and fenced in yard are completely separate and completely private.
The drive in from the highway is about 3.5 miles on a dirt road. The dirt road can be a bit bumpy (washboard) depending on the season. During the winter there might be snow or ice on the road. Our driveway is steep, so if there is ice you may need 4-wheel drive or chains to get up it. You have a private parking spot right next to your deck. The driveway continues past your parking area to a completely separate parking area for the second airbnb on the property - the other half of the dome. You may see the other guests drive down the driveway, and they share the 12-acre property with you, but your patio, deck, hot tub, and fenced in yard are completely separate and completely private. Only a 10-minute drive away you have the Taos Mesa Brewery Mothership - a wonderful spot to grab a bite, have a beer, and enjoy live music! The drive into the center of town is about 15-20 minutes. The Gorge Bridge is 15 minutes away. There are tons of great hikes that start at the property, including going down into the gorge to the Rio Grand (40 minute hike one way).

Hi! We are Josefine and Daniel, a couple who loves to host, and loves to be hosted. We spend our year living alternately in Costa Mesa (CA), Taos (NM), and traveling to new places. As hosts, it is our pleasure to provide every guest the highest quality experience, and as guests we always take immense care to treat any stay like it were in our own home. Josefine manages our properties, and Daniel maintains them. Together, we try to ensure a unique and relaxing experience for our guests.
