Bella Vista Boutique Homestay was a lovely experience. The host, Gurmeet and the caretaker, Salby are very professional and sweet people, responsive and committed to making sure that the stay is as comfortable as possible. The location itself is very peaceful with beautiful views of the city and is at a walkable distance from great cafes.

Everything was best, the location, room, common area, hospitality. Just one thing, the room we stayed, it's bathroom clearly had a ventilation problem. We went outside for like 3 hours and after returning entire room was smelling like 🤢. Salby was very nice to us, there was a vacant room for one day, in which they shifted us but next day we had to swtich back. My advice would be to book another room, not the one we stayed unless host resolves the issue.

while room was neat and clean, still i have following suggestions which is available in other BNB properties:- 1. No hangers were provided which was needed for all irones cloths, jackets etc. 2. Toiletries were not provided except a lux soap. altest we expected dental kit and a 2 Rs shampoo sachet. since market is 1.5 KMs away, we felt clueless in morning. 3. Room was bit small if we compare with other BNB rooms.

Great place to stay in Shillong. very very well maintained and you'd receive great service at the price of what you'd pay otherwise. Salby was a very helpful and cordial caretaker. Gurmeet made sure all communication is precise and guests are taken care of at all times
