From the top of gondola station there are 2 restaurants, ski school and nursery area with access over into the Graydon bowl and a fabulous 20kms tour of Roc d’Enfer using 5 lifts.
Next to the ice rink, in season the local Sherpa supermarket sells lovely freshly made croissants & baguettes that can be pre ordered, they sell out quickly so get your order in. It’s possible to rent a raclette machine or fondue from there or the charcuterie/fromagerie across from the apartment.
There are 3 bars/restaurants,
two of which do a nice take out pizza menu. There are 3 ski hire shops within 60m.
There is a free navette ski bus that with careful planning can connect you to the rest of the Portes du Soleil via Ardent télécabine or down to Saint Jean d’Aulps where you’ll find a larger supermarket, 2 bakeries and 2 bar/restaurants.
Snowshoeing is popular for non skiers or anyone looking to enjoy the beautiful landscapes. Ski touring is also popular in the area.
In summer the area is stunning and is popular with hikers and bikers alike. The lifts are open every day throughout summer (seasonal openings) and it’s possible to do a lift assisted walk to the beautiful Graydon Alpine pasture with its little buvette and pretty chapel. As I live close by I’m happy to give advice on walks and activities. I would advise you need a car in summer if you want to explore other areas.
Lac Leman (lake Geneva) is just 35 mins away and visits to Thonon Les Bains, Evian Les Bains and Lake Annecy are well worth a trip. Lac Montiond is just 15 mins drive away which is popular for paddle boarding and kayaking (rent onsite). Morzine town is 12 mins by car or in winter via the navette changing at Saint Jean d’Aulps.
