Really cool house in a beautiful setting. As to be expected on Lake Blue Ridge, the walk from the house to the dock is steep and rather long, but there are new stairs (with railing) that make it as easy as it can be. The neatest aspect of the house is the room between the living room and the deck. There are huge sliding glass doors that you can open in favor of screens so you can enjoy the mountain air while eating at one of two large dining tables.

Clyde’s cabin was perfect for our NYE family mountain trip. Everything you may need is within 15 minutes of the cabin. The cabin is tastefully decorated and appointed with the basic needs. It comfortably slept our family- bunk beds are fun for the kids. It was too cold to enjoy some of the amenities, but the view of the lake was spectacular and serene. The hot tub was our favorite, already hot when we got there, and ended every night in the tub. Clyde gave detailed instructions before check-in and a list of recommendations for things to do. He was quick to check in and communicate. We did encounter a problem, and due to the holiday it couldn’t be fixed. However, Clyde went above and beyond to make it right. We would definitely stay again when it’s not so cold so we can go fishing and enjoy the lake!

The cabin was amazing and we felt at home almost immediately. There was enough parking up close for several cars and extra parking up the hill. The covered walk way brings you into the upper level loft with a trundle bed, bath and private bedroom with a king bed. Afternoon sun coming into the huge picture window made for some awesome napping. We had 8 folks in our family and never felt crowded. The sectional sofa, soft pillows and throws gave everyone a comfy place in front of the gas fireplace and TV. We played games on the large table in the sun room overlooking the lake. The separate HVAC unit easily warmed up the space. The huge sliding doors allow our kids to do their thing and the adults to do ours while feeling together. The kitchen was fantastic and easy to cook for our large group. I was impressed with the quality and really the quantity of everything in the kitchen. I just hit my 1000 space limit on this review. I need more space to say how great our stay was. Very clean.
