We reserved this house for Masters week 2024. Unfortunately, the home was not as expected and we checked out after 1 night. There were stains on the sofa in the living room, scratches on the dining table and dining chairs that were unravelling. The toilet in the hall bathroom was not secured to the floor and the towel rack was falling off the wall. The beds had duvet covers on them but no duvet insert so it was basically like sleeping with a sheet. One of the biggest disappointments was the screened in porch. We were looking forward to enjoying coffee out there and we couldn't even step foot onto the porch because it was laden with pollen. It hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. For the price we paid for the home the week of the Masters, I would expected a lot more. Highly disappointed and would not recommend this home.

Walton Way leads from the Medical District close to Downtown Augusta up through historic Summerville, which is the neighborhood that is home to Augusta University and some of the most glorious homes built after the Civil War. If you are interested in architecture. please explore this very intact and well-preserved neighborhood. If you continue up Walton Way, you will come to a commercial and retail district full of restaurants and stores of high quality. And if you leave Walton Way and drive down Highland Avenue, you will discover the shops and cafes of the upscale Surrey Center and soon find yourself at the iconic Augusta National Golf Club, home of course, of the fabled Masters Tournament.
While the surrounding neighborhood is somewhat walkable, many guests will prefer the convenience of taxis and ride shares should they be without their own form of transportation.
