I would love to give this place 5 stars because of the view and the eclectic old Tahoe feel/decor, but there were problems, so I'm giving it 4. A few days prior to our stay both owners notified me they were traveling - one remotely so reception was spotty. I asked if there was anyone local who could help with problems and they said there had never been a need for that. There was a problem however with the smart lock, which the owner was aware of and he gave us an alternative option but it was a bit of a hassle. The second bigger problem was that the oven did not work. After 1.5 hours of trying to cook my ribs we stuck them on the grill, but they weren't the same, making our family dinner a bit disappointing. The kitchen needs more serving dishes, platters, salad bowls, etc., serve ware and basics like storage bags, foil, papertowels. They also did not have beach chairs, umbrella, etc. so we brought our own, as we live only 1 hour away. Not great for someone flying in however.

Easily one of the best airbnbs I've stayed at. The photos don't do it justice. Brandon and Darcy are amazing hosts, the place feels like a home, there's a stunning view with incredibly kind neighbors (we got snowed in in a surprise snowstorm and one of their neighbors plowed us out!), it just felt like coming home. Brandon was incredibly responsive despite being on vacation and helped us with everything that came up. Instructions were straightforward and house was easy to get into. The place is a perfect mix of home-y and modern. It was a great value for the price and I am already planning my next trip back. Thank you guys so much for the magical stay ✨

Friendly and responsive owners. Fantastic view of the lake!!! Huge deck. Great stay for family which consisted of my mom, sis, and 12 year old daughter. We we each able to do our own thing in the large space and cook big meals with what was supplied. Only issue was moths esp in the upper room but owners said they would investigate the issue and resolve it after we left, which worked out for us since we are a family that values privacy and solitude. The issue didn’t detract from the quality of the space though - would book again!!!

What a great place to stay after a long week of work in the city. Darcy was very quick to answer any questions, while also providing multiple recommendations to great restaurants and activities. I would recommend anyone who I’d looking for a quiet home with a gorgeous view of the lake, and away from the busy/touristy South Lake area.
