Looking for the perfect Upstate NY getaway? Look no further, welcome to Hummingbird House! Hummingbird House is newly renovated but with the same tranquil charm as it was originally intended. You will walk in from the outdoor deck to a screened in patio. The kitchen and dining area are downstairs as you enter the home. There is a bedroom and bathroom downstairs and another bedroom and bathroom upstairs. There are also two sitting areas for extra relaxation time and a desk upstairs. This space was originally created by a writer and her blacksmith artist husband as a getaway for a creative hideaway. It was then beautifully and flawlessly renovated by its current owner with the hopes to share it with travelers coming to the area. The pictures do not do this home justice, you will find yourself saying “oh wow” with every door you open and every corner you turn. Absolutely the perfect space for a writers retreat, weekend out of the city or to stay a whole week during the baseball tournaments. Even locals can find a few days here being the perfect escape from daily life and find peace and happiness in the surroundings of The Hummingbird House.

we stopped over while travelling and were very happy with this unique stay. Spotless, cosy, brand new seeming home. lots of cute touches like record collection and player and many spots to sit and breath in the clean air.

Fantastic weekend getaway. Very private and quiet house in the woods away from it all, but with modern amenities to make it extremely comfortable. Secluded but nothing felt too far away, with Oneonta an easy 20 minute drive away. Extremely clean and spacious with a beautiful outdoor and porch setup. Would absolutely stay here again.
Quiet location, beautiful home, responsive hosts, great stay! Perfect if you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy work week. My friends and I really enjoyed disconnecting from the outside world and spending time with one another in this spacious, clean, and modern house. Samantha and Adriana are undoubtedly great hosts!
Had a great stay at the hummingbird house. Home was very clean, updated, all appliances worked great. This is a great airbnb if you are looking for a quiet peaceful trip or escape from NYC. Home is tucked back in the country of upstate NY, surrounded by trees but not too far (about 20 minutes) from the nearest town. Hosts were almost the best part of the trip, they responded quickly consistently, helped with all of my questions, were very generous and wonderful to work with. Highly recommend!

Stay Upstate is the joint effort of two friends, Samantha and Adriana, who are both raising their families here. Our love for running short term rentals and hosting visitors all started with one little blue cottage in Fly Creek, NY. We love this area and to help others experience it.
