Mixing character with contemporary features, The Cart House makes the perfect place for friends or families to create wonderful memories. Situated on a working farm at the head of the stunning valley of Corvedale in the heart of the Shropshire countryside. Once used to store farm carts, The Cart House now provides a contemporary, modern, open-plan living space which is bathed in natural light through the bi folding doors making this the idyllic rural retreat.. The open-plan living area consists of a modern, well-equipped kitchen with an electric hob and oven, a Krupps Nespresso coffee machine, and a dining table seating up to four guests, allowing you to enjoy a home cooked meal near the wood burning stove. The sitting area boasts comfortable seating surrounding the cosy wood burning stove, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the Shropshire countryside. Sit and unwind whilst taking in the beautiful countryside and farm views. Bedroom one leads off from the kitchen and dining area, boasting a magnificent rattan king-size bed festooned with vintage chintz cushions, and a touch of gold which is complimented by the en-suite wet room. Climb up the winding oak staircase to reveal a second, boho inspired bedroom, with a show stopping crane framed king-size bed, surrounded by unique hand painted furniture and many treasured finds. The en-suite is through the sliding door, with a large free-standing bath, and twin wash basins. Open up the bi folding doors from the living area to reveal a large, enclosed terrace and lawned garden. With rattan style garden furniture and a central gas fire you can sit out here all year round and soak in the views, or relax in the hot tub and catch the evening sun. To the front of the barn, accessed from the living room, there is a newly planted wildlife garden complete with lavender, buddleia, fruit trees and cottage garden plants. This garden will attract butterflies and bees during the spring and summer months. There is a small terrace with a bench, where you can enjoy a morning coffee. You can even watch the activities of the working farm as the seasons change. Additional Information: Sorry, no pets. Children and infants welcome. Travel cot and highchair available on request (please provide your own linen). There is underfloor heating in the bathrooms. The bedding is non-feather. The pathway to The Cart House is shared with The Forge and The Byre. Please note, The Cart House is based on a working farm, with a mixture of livestock and arable.

The Cart House is a 17th century barn in the heart of a working farm at the beginning of the Corve Dale in Shropshire. The village of Aston Eyre is a small hamlet with a 900 year old church and a medieval hall. In the barn you are in the heart of the farm and from here you can see the daily farm activities, animals and farmyard friends. You can walk out from Aston Eyre Barn to the local countryside footpaths and enjoy the tranquil countryside.
You will find all the shops and services you need in the town of Bridgnorth just 5 miles away. Bridgnorth also has it's own steam railway and cliff railway, and you can visit the remains of Bridgnorth Castle and Gardens which dates back to 1101, all within easy reach.
Theatre On The Steps is the perfect opportunity for those that enjoy the theatre to spend the evening immersed in a musical or show, with an array of shows running throughout the year, there is bound to be something for everyone to enjoy.
If you don't fancy cooking on an evening, then head out to the surrounding villages and enjoy the wide choice of lovely pubs and restaurants such as The Woodberry Inn, and The Gaskell Arms Hotel.
Should you wish to explore further afield, there are many beautiful towns to be visited that are a short car journey away. The nearby historic town of Ludlow is an excellent place to spend the day. Immerse yourself in the history of the town and marvel in the stunning architecture, enjoy wandering around Ludlow Castle, or sit back and relax with a coffee in one of the many quaint cafes and watch the world go by. Ludlow has held street markets since the 12th Century, and they are still being held today - wander around the open-air market, full of local artisanal produce, handmade arts and crafts items and much more, whilst surrounded by the beautiful buildings that line the streets of Ludlow.
Enjoy the day soaking in the history at Much Wenlock priory, sitting on the fringe of the town and dating back to 680, this priory holds an incredible amount of history and is located in a picturesque, tranquil setting. Much Wenlock was also the home of Dr. William Penny Brookes who was the originator of the Wenlock Olympian Games which still takes place to this day and was a huge inspiration for the International Olympics of today.
Ironbridge Gorge and Blists Hill Victorian Town, which is the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, is a 20 minute car journey and is the perfect place to while away the day together as a family. With multiple interactive things to see and do, it is a great place to spend the day.
