The home is beautiful and peaceful. The neighborhood is old ,established, and appears to be up and coming. Marvin's advice about the community was spot on. We did not have any issues. I would visit this home again.

Marvin was a great host who was easy to communicate with. We had a great time staying at this property. Everything inside was comfortable and lived up to his "Zen Oasis". His home was close to downtown so there are many places to visit and a variety of places to eat. Our stay was focused on the solar eclipse, so we didn't do anything touristy given the influx of people. Inside the house was pretty modern and updated; couldn't ask for more considering the price. The kitchen was fully stocked with the basic needs. I did wish there was a cookie/oven sheet to use as a bottom layer when baking premade food like lasagna or mac and cheese. Microwave could be slightly bigger as well. But overall, that didn't deter us from enjoying our stay. The neighborhood is quite sketchy, but I also believe it's in a transition phase as I'm seeing plenty of new, upgrades homes mixed with run down homes. I would still stay there again given what I've experienced. Thank you for a great stay!

As a full time traveler, I stay in dozens of long term airbnbs over the course of a year. This house was well stocked for cooking, high end appliances, beautiful tile in the showers, comfortable beds with plenty of extra towels/sheets, and nice decoration that gives a great vibe right when you walk in the door. From check in to check out, everything was easy for me and the host was quick to respond if I had any questions. There was a big fenced in yard that my dog could run around in and could park my truck inside the gate in the backyard which gave some extra security. It’s in an old part of San Antonio and yes, there was a dog that would wonder around but it wasn’t aggressive at all and not a concern when my dog was outside. The exterior security system was very sufficient so I never felt unsafe. Your going to be very close to downtown and for the price/quality of the home, this was a bargain in my opinion. Definitely deserves all the 5 star reviews

Great host, great place and very welcoming. Strong communication and you can definitely see the effort the host puts in to keep the place amazing. Would recommend!

This place is a true oasis. The house is tastefully decorated with extremely comfortable beds and linens. The showers are amazing and it made the stay truly feel like a getaway. There are other thoughtful touches including snacks, water bottles, and laundry detergent. Check-in was easy and Marvin accommodated my request for an early check-in. The neighborhood is a bit rough with some vacant buildings, and would recommend people check in when there's daylight. The house is surrounded by a fence with a rolling gate to park our car parked behind the house. This is a lovely home, and we very much enjoyed our stay.
