A spacious studio apartment with lofted ceilings and exposed beams on a Horse Ranch 2 miles from the Historic town and Creative Arts District of Mancos. Look for solitude or adventure in the nearby San Juan NF or Red Rock Desert Canyons. View the La Plata Mountains to the east and Mesa Verde from a private balcony. 6 miles to Mesa Verde National Park's entrance. Fully contained with a private entrance at the far end of a shared veranda with the main house. Dogs allowed. This rural property is shared with the main house, horse barn, hayfield, and horse pastures. A cozy private balcony offers views of Mesa Verde and the front balcony offers views of the La Plata Mountains. A flight of stairs accesses the shared veranda of the owner occupied main house at the top of the stairs. Turning right and up another 6 stairs provides access to the gated balcony and French doors to the apartment. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a generous walk-in closet and ample cupboard space to store belongings. There is a 220v/50amp outlet for EV charging in the parking space in front. Two resident retrievers may greet you from a gated side deck.

This place is great! More spacious than the photos, the glass windows and doors to the entry let beautiful morning light in with a great entrance patio to have breakfast on. The glass windows and doors to the back had great afternoon light and the back patio accommodated a wonderful spot for dinner! The property itself has a great ranch feel with peace and quiet surrounding. Alice and Rex were not only accommodating to my partner and me, but they made extra efforts to make our Pyrenees pup feel at home. They gave amazing recommendations to spots beyond Mesa verde that made our trip unique and wonderful! I can’t wait to come back again and will plan my next trip according to the availability of this little gem! 10/10*****
This was perfect for our weekend getaway! The property was very peaceful and and in a beautiful area. It felt remote but was close to town and a short drive to Mesa Verde. The hosts were very friendly and communicated well!

SkyDog Ranch straddles a small Pinion-Juniper covered ridge extending into the Mancos Valley at 7'000 feet elevation. You will see our horses grazing in the pasture. A large wire sculpture Buffalo greets you in the approach of the driveway. Near to Mancos, we are a rural area surrounded by hayfields and grazing land.
A big circular graveled driveway provides access and there is dedicated space for parking in front of the apartment. An outlet ( 220volt/50amp) is suitable for EV charging.
