Great place to stay for our yearly hunting trip. Very clean and easy communication! Sitting by the fire and listening to the river was so peaceful!

Peaceful and relaxing get away – the sound of the water was amazing!   The cabin was perfect and looked even better than the photos!  It was the perfect place to spend time in the country with my family.  The entire place was spotless and the kitchen had everything we needed plus more.  The beds and linens were comfortable and perfect for sleeping in.  The living room was stylish and cozy.  The wifi was fast and we were able to stream on multiple devices.  We enjoyed time playing in the yard and listening to the river.  The fire pit was well situated with a view of the water and the fall leaves were beautiful. Michael, our host, was quick to answer any questions and very accommodating. We plan to book again in the future.

Come for the River, Stay for the Towels The River House was the perfect property for our Fall Getaway. We enjoyed a glass of wine sitting around the fire pit by the river. There was plenty of firewood available on site. There were nice touches throughout the house, like a basket of snacks in the kitchen. I even saw a little jar in one of the closets with “Fireflies” written on it for the kids. There were lots of games. The kitchen is well-stocked with top-notch appliances and any utensil or pan you might need. But, I fell in love with the bath towels! They are so thick and plush! We appreciated this house’s location. One day we explored east of the property and another day we went west into Wausau. There are a lot of parks and areas to visit within 30 minutes or so. I would highly recommend The River House!
