As mentioned in the property listing, you won't get a proper house for yourself rather there are individual rooms just like hotels. As a group, we had booked the house but there was no common space for us to sit It was just similar to staying in a hotel. Also, the location of the property is an issue and is different from what's mentioned in Airbnb. Maps routed us through the army cantonment area and then we had to go through the hassles of their interrogation. The host was helpful and came to help us in finding the property and was always available for everything we needed. Overall a good stay if you want to spend some time in peaceful surroundings and don't need to go the the dehradun city area otherwise it's better to get a hotel in dehradun, you'll get a much better stay for this price.

I booked the place just a few hours before midnight and yet the host was very responsive and helpful. They happily welcomed us and even helped us with our luggage upstairs. Most importantly the family was so sweet that they even provided us with tea at such a late hour. They even made a fire for us. Pros: The place is really nice, clean, peaceful and cozy. Perfect for a morning walk. Though the host family shares the place yet the rooms are separated by just enough space to give you privacy. The host family was really helpful. Cons: Make sure you contact the host and ask for the location first as it is actually not where it is shown and the place is a little inside a narrow neighbourhood. But it is easily reachable via cars. So it is not that problematic. It required a little maintenance regarding plumbing but i’m sure it must have been resolved. The rooms are a little smaller than the photos but still they are spacious enough for 2 people each and even an extra mattress.

1. vatsala home is located at a peaceful and prime location where top Britisher officers stayed once. the home shares its boundary with the magnificent animals of the majestic Rajaji National Park. Luckily I got an opportunity to view a beautiful Deer/Chiltal and a pair of endangered Martin during one of my morning walks. Such a rare AirBnb in Dehradun. 2. The host family is just amazing and the hospitality they offered is commendable, the food home-cooked by Mrs Rawat was scrumptious and healthy. She offered sumptuous meals , as a former chef myself, I am little reserved about the quality offered by the hosts but this listing proved me that great food can be assured. 3. The host family is very proactive in arrival till departure. I want to assure that one won't be disappointed with their hospitality. 4. Since the home is near the forest (6 kms from the NH) therefore reaching their could be little taxing for the first time visitors , it is advised to confirm loc before.

We enjoyed stay with Vatsala’s clean and neat place good service we also enjoyed food and very helpful and cooperative , Thanks a lot we will visit again 🙏❤️
