TL;DR: The home is stunning, but the heating issues caused significant trouble. With only one wall unit to heat the entire space, the situation became unbearable. Despite contacting the host (Vacasa) and Airbnb, multiple redirections occurred without accountability, forcing us to book a hotel. Details: The place and the home were undeniably gorgeous, but the heating problem transformed our stay into a nightmare. Relying on a single wall unit to warm the entire place was impractical and left us freezing. When we reached out to the host, Vacasa, they deferred the issue to their local team, which further delayed resolution as they attempted to contact the property owner. Despite escalating the problem to Airbnb, their responsiveness was lacking, leaving us in a chaotic situation. The problem was not fixed promptly, leading us to book a hotel for the night. Received partial refunded but this spoiled nearly two days of our vacation and turned our anticipated trip into a disappointment.
The Blue Ox rental had everything that my two college buddies and I could've asked for. The outdoor equipment, well equipped kitchen, and easy access to the canal made it perfect for a weekend getaway. Communication with the property manager was quick and easy. And the oyster bed at low tide provided the seafood we couldn't locate with our fishing rods.
Great place for a retreat! Spacious with lots of beds and well decorated. Only negative downside is water pressure can be a bit low at times and there were some flies/fruit flies in the house.
We were lucky enough to be the first renters of this fabulous airbnb. The location is unbeatable. The house has everything we needed including kayaks which we didn’t notice on the listing so we were very excited to find these when we arrived. You will not regret renting this place. The spot and the house are perfect. We will be back!
beautiful location with private beach! my friends and I loved this house. It was very spacious, very clean, and came with plenty of towels and blankets! we loved having the propane grill and outdoor deck area, perfect for grilling oysters straight from the beach. would highly recommend this gem!
