Trout Lake · 整套民居 · 4室7床4.0卫 · 可住10人 · Gorgeous 4BR Riverfront | Chef's Kitchen
Riverwood Lodge & Guest House Discover a picturesque escape at the foot of Mt. Adams at this four-bedroom Trout Lake property, a beautiful lodge and adjacent guest house with a gorgeous private hot tub and deck, nearby access to hundreds of miles of muti-use trails for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in the winter and mountain biking in the summer, and an incredible piece of property on the shores of the White Salmon River. Stunningly situated on a six-acre parcel of land with 625 feet of riverfront access, this upscale retreat is secluded, elegant, and surrounded by open countryside. Here in the pine trees, you'll be just one mile north of the town of Trout Lake, three miles south of cross-country skiing and snowmobiling at the Pineside Sno-Park, and 26 miles north of Hood River on the banks of the Columbia. No matter the season of your vacation, you'll also have access to a bounty of local hiking trails, snowshoe trails, and river rafting excursions in the surrounding Gifford Pinchot National Forest and Mt. Adams Recreation Area. Step inside the three-level main house to find a living space that seamlessly blends comfort, luxury, and charming alpine atmosphere. Gather with your loved ones amid exposed brick and natural wood beams, cool off on summer days in the central AC, or curl up by the fireplace on snow-filled winter evenings. Begin each morning in the beautifully appointed gourmet kitchen, an open space that overlooks the river and the backyard. Heat up the waffle iron, grind some fresh local coffee beans, and blend some fresh fruit for homemade smoothies. You'll also have a stainless steel gas stove, plenty of island seating for your sous chefs, an eat-in breakfast table, and a dining room with space for 12. Stack the plates in the dishwasher and head outdoors to enjoy your breathtaking natural surroundings. Read a book at the table on the deck as the river rushes beneath you, entertain family and friends in the covered pavilion, or light the gas grill for an al fresco lunch around the picnic table in the grass. Watch your children squeal with delight as they play games of tag on the grass, then join them for a soothing soak in the incredibly positioned hot tub. As the sun begins to set, take that as your cue to grab a seat by the firepit on the covered porch, or recline in an Adirondack chair by the stone fireplace in the pavilion. On summer and winter nights, the whole group can retreat to the media room downstairs, where you'll find a 70-inch cable TV (basic cable only), a DVD player with a small collection of films, and surround sound that is wired both inside and outside of the home. Throw a few logs in the wood-burning stove and challenge your kids to a few friendly games of pool, foosball, or poker. The main house features three bedrooms and three bathrooms that will accommodate as many as six guests. The bedrooms offer one king-size bed, one queen-size bed, and a set of twin beds, respectively, as well as two queen-size pull-out beds. The fourth bedroom and bathroom are located in the guest lodge above the garage, which provides the perfect amount of privacy for four more guests. The maximum occupancy for the whole house is 10. The one guest house bedroom has a king-size bed and a futon. There's even a small living room, a convenient kitchenette for preparing midnight snacks, and a gas-powered fireplace to add warmth and character. Additional amenities at the Riverwood Lodge & Guest House include WiFi and a private washer/dryer, which will help you research and prepare for every possible outdoor adventure. Event use available for an extra fee. Please ask reservationists via telephone for more information. Although this home is a spectacular destination in its own right, you'll also be within minutes of fantastic recreation in winter, spring, summer, and fall. Come winter, heavy snow conditions can provide guests with ski-in/ski-out access to the nearby Pineside Sno-Park, where you'll find groomed cross-country ski trails and snowmobiling opportunities at the foot of Mt. Adams. Come summer, join River Drifters, Wet Planet Whitewater, Zoller's Outdoor Odysseys, or one of the other local outfitters on the rapids of the White Salmon River. Windsurfers will be a short drive from world-class conditions on the shores of Hood River, while hikers will find countless trails in the Columbia River Gorge and Gifford Pinchot National Forest. You can even hop on your mountain bike and find miles of traffic-free roads just outside your front door. Great house in a great location where I grew up. Loved the grounds, the amenities and the owner was friendly and helpful. It is clean and well equipped with everything you need for a large group. A few issues with water pressure - literally no water in the garage apartment on days the irrigation runs. But the only real issue was dealing with Vacasa to get check in info. Even tho the property is on Airbnb it’s actually hosted by vacasa and they will not use the Airbnb platform to communicate checkin . Internet and cell service is spotty where this house is located and it was difficult getting vacasa to communicate check in codes before leaving the area with internet service where we could get emails. Our only complaint! The property was great!
This property is an amazing place. The setting is amazing and relaxing. The rest of this review is specific to this trip to the property: We have stayed at this property for 3 years in a row at approximately the same time each year. The first two years were fantastic experiences. This last time was a decided decline, and it wasn't because the property itself had changed. This was specifically a management failure. - The cleanliness definitely dropped (cobwebs inside and out, food and grease all over the stove, poorly washed dishes). - The hot tub was broken. A call to Vacasa yielded the lame excuse of "it's not hot tub season". The season had never been a problem for the previous years' visits. First world problem? Yes, but it is something every single person in our party uses every day of our visit typically. The BS excuse along with a ~1% discount for the loss of an amenity were irritating rather than helpful. - The few glasses and cups that were in the secondary unit above the garage were all cracked or chipped. - Multiple towel bars don't stay up. - 1 bar of bath soap for 3 bathrooms. - Check in hours have gotten later and check out earlier (I know COVID makes a difference, but 10 AM is pushing it on a property like this and for a long stay). I would strongly suggest that the owner of the property consider a different management service than Vacasa. This is the second of two Vacasa rentals we stayed in this year that suffered from very similar maintenance issues.
Outstanding house. Our kids really enjoyed exploring the property. Great place for a relaxing vacation.
This is a fantastic property to hang out with friends or family: great kitchen, huge dining room, hot tub, outdoor fireplace, long riverfront exposure, very private. Very nice basement with modern A/V equipment, pool and foosball table. Lots of indoor and outdoor spaces. A real jewel of a location; I celebrated a birthday there with five people and we had an AMAZING time. For a huge space it was very clean and extremely well appointed with everything from sugar to silverware, from vacuum cleaner to air fresheners, from BBQ tools to hot tub tools. We left behind a few items and the managers were kind enough to retrieve them. Only small complaint is that the management company for the property is far offsite and sometimes has a slow response, so make sure to communicate requests well ahead of your stay. There is an emergency phone number for more critical issues (which we did not have to use.)
