Room in home located only 10 minutes by car to Washington DC. Parking is free. You can walk to the brand new Potomac Yard Metro Station in 15 minutes. House is decorated with modern furniture from Denmark and Sweden. Barbecue or relax on private back deck under cedar pergola. Great restaurants are also just a short walk from the house.

Mark was a great Host and the location Was great . Had a little problem with the heat but in the end it turned out great!
Mark was very friendly and communicative. Instructions for check-in were clear. Plenty of parking available. Several major bus lines within a block. The house is old and in need of some TLC but all of the furniture was beautiful and comfortable making you feel right at home. Loved the Scandinavian style.
Mark's home is cozy and lovely. A quiet neighborhood with very walkable streets and pedestrian crosswalks. Mark had fresh flowers and even bathroom toiletry available. There is also a grill and patio outside and a view of the local fruit trees in the area. Great stay!

The house is located in the northern part of DelRay which is part of Alexandria. There are wonderful restaurants along Mount Vernon Avenue which is either a short walk or drive from the house. For families with young children, there is a very nice play area very close to the house on the other side of the street. For guests who bring a dog(s), there is a large and very friendly dog park down the street.
The house is located only a 8 minute car ride from National Airport and 10 minutes from DC.
The gorgeous, brand new Potomac Yard Metro Station is only 0.8 miles away or a 15 minute walk or 4 minute Uber ride.
The 10A, 10B and 33 bus stop is only a one minute walk from the house and is located on Mount Vernon Avenue.

I love to travel; the only continent I haven’t been to yet is South America. Photography is another passion, particularly portrait photography. I have four daughters and one son. Since I enjoy great coffee, I like to treat my guests to a great coffee experience. The kitchen has a Nespresso machine with features to make espresso drinks, French press or drip coffee. I provide complimentary Nespresso pods and whole bean coffee.
