斯托(Stowe) · 整套民居 · 2室2床1.5卫 · 可住4人 · Mountain hideaway w/ private waterfall & sugarbush
Newly renovated farmhouse in the heart of Stowe's Nebraska Valley, steps away from one of the area's oldest family-owned maple syrup farm. This peaceful, wooded hideaway features a private backyard waterfall and offers all the charm of rustic Vermont with updated touches in a beautifully designed space. 15 minutes from the ski mountain, 10 minutes from Stowe's downtown shops + restaurants, and just minutes from Trapp Family Lodge + 44,000 acres of state forest hiking trails. Our home is nestled on a rolling knoll, amidst 12 private acres of sugarbush and a falling brook that runs right through our back woods. On the main floor, picture windows let in abundant light and frame valley views. The living area includes a fully-equipped kitchen with new appliances, a cozy wood-burning stove, an entertainment center with a Smart TV that turns into art when not in use, and two built-in workstations perfect for remote office setups. Comfortable seating and a Sonos sound system are featured throughout the house, plus a record player in the living room if vinyl is more your thing. Upstairs you'll find two bedrooms complete with queen-sized beds and luxury linens. Cozy up in the primary bedroom's cushioned reading nook or get productive at the second bedroom's extra writing desk. The upstairs bathroom has a rainfall shower head and bluetooth-enabled speaker fan that offers mood lighting. Head outdoors to sip your morning coffee on our wraparound porch and enjoy meals in the open-air dining setup. With a sloping acre of wildflowers, lilac bushes, and more, our yard is a true pollinator's paradise — all punctuated by the peaceful sounds of our babbling brook. Looking to learn more about our neighborhood and the surrounding area? Check out our Guidebook! The Nebraska Valley is one of Stowe's true hidden gems, perfectly off the beaten path but close enough to all of the area's major attractions and sites. Next door to us is the Nebraska Knoll Sugar Farm, which has been tapping sugar maple trees in the foothills of Mt. Mansfield—including the trees in our backyard—for decades. Walk over for a free tasting and tour, where you can learn how the sugaring process works, explore the evaporator room where sap is boiled, and purchase the finest syrup Vermont has to offer. And if shopping and dining is more you're thing, we're only a ten minute drive to Mountain Road and Main Street so you can still enjoy the amazing perks that our quintessential resort town has to offer.
A lovely house! We would stay again. We enjoyed walking to the waterfall and sitting outside on the deck. Internet access is smooth sailing (which you probably want, since you can't get cell service in the hills) and the home is very well-kept.
This Stowe home is a perfect combination of peaceful, stylish and comfortable. The home is extremely nicely decorated and the plants add to the feeling of being in nature. Everything you could need is available in the home as well. Finally ,while you are close to Stowe (the town and the mountain) you are also removed and very much able to be in your own little world up on the hill. The hosts are also friendly and responsive -- accommodating and helpful. This was an ideal stay for my family at their place, really!
Mimi + Sam’s house served as a serene escape with picturesque views. It accommodated all of our needs during our stay. And, our littles thoroughly enjoyed exploring the property. Their communications were prompt and answered all questions with genuine concern and care.
Had a wonder secluded time, just the sound of the stream and the falling snow. Beautiful and clean home, such a treat.

The road that runs through our valley also features some of the best-kept hiking, biking, swimming, boating, fishing, snowshoeing, cross-country, and back-country skiing in Stowe. Explore the Cottonbrook and Waterbury reservoirs by kayak or SUP, hike the Lake Mansfield / Nebraska Notch Trail, or ski and snowshoe the thousands of acres of groomed and untouched terrain.

We are creative freelancers living on the road part-time out of our Sprinter Camper Van. We love traveling to other parts of the country and renting our spot in Stowe when we're away, giving others the chance to visit and explore the bucolic beauty of northern New England. While originally from the Boston area, we are now proud call the Green Mountain State home.
