Kaltern · 整套别墅 · 5室5床4.5卫 · 可住10人 · Villa Baronessa
Villa Baronessa was built in the 1950s as a garden and tea house for the neighboring aristocratic palace. Under the direction of Arch. Prof. Walter Angonese and artist Manfred A. Mayr, the villa was lovingly renovated and extended. Villa Baronessa offers space for up to 10 people on a living area of approx. 300 m2. The villa combines high-quality design with local materials and traditional craftsmanship. First floor The heart of the newly renovated villa is the spacious dining and living area. It is flooded with sunlight and has a large sofa area, a dining table and an open fireplace. The open kitchen leads directly onto the terrace, which is covered by a pergola designed by artist Manfred Mayr. Here you can enjoy breakfast in the sun, lunch in the shade and dinner at sunset. A bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a guest WC are also located on this floor. Second floor There are two further double bedrooms, two en-suite bathrooms and a living room with sofa bed. A sunny south-facing balcony and a wonderfully cool north-facing balcony invite you to linger. Ground floor There is another bedroom with its own bathroom and patio. Garden & Pool The highlight of the outdoor area is the infinity pool filled with chlorine-free brine water. This can be heated from Easter to the end of October if required. In the Mediterranean garden, you can relax on sun loungers with a wonderful view of the vineyards and Dolomites. The herb garden brings fragrance and spice to the kitchen. Sauna & Wine Cellar Relax in the sauna (Finnish/organic sauna) and then enjoy a glass of fine wine in our own wine cellar next door. On request, we also offer a tasting of typical South Tyrolean wines with the host. Facilities All the comforts of modern living are available, including WLAN, air conditioning, washer-dryer, dishwasher, induction stove, flat-screen TV, fireplace, outdoor barbecue, table tennis table, table soccer, sauna towels, bath towels, bathrobes, etc. There are 3 parking spaces in our own underground garage and a charging station for electric cars (for a fee).
We had a wonderful stay in South Tyrol, thanks to Florian and her beautiful home. It was pristine when we arrived and were given a nice tour of the place. We were within walking distance to great restaurants, wine shops, markets and bakeries. My kids even enjoyed the toy store across the street. There were plenty of beautiful hikes nearby and skiing just an hour away. We would certainly stay here again on a return trip.
We spent a wonderful week on a family vacation in Caldaro/Kaltern. The house itself is wonderfully located at the edge of town with amazing views. It is easily accessible and literally a minute walk to town. The home is excellently maintained, very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a couple of warm days at the pool and dined outdoors enjoying the mountain and vineyard views. Florian and Claudia went above and beyond in accommodating our requests with our luggage, recommendations for what to do and restaurants and wineries in the area, and even with reservations at restaurants. We felt right at home and comfortable and we were super impressed with Claudia’s hospitality.
A marvelous property that is modern, immaculate and well provisioned. The amenities - including a pool and sauna - are superb. The Villa is located in the quaint town of Caldaro with many desirable restaurants within walking distance. The views over the vineyards in Sud Tirol and surrounded by mountain vistas are stunning. Claudia and Florian are gracious and accommodating hosts. We had three generations occupying the property and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Vicinity
The villa is located on the edge of the historic center of the wine village of Kaltern am See. Stores, restaurants, bars, ice cream parlors, bakeries, butchers, pharmacies, wine shops and a public bus stop are all within a 2-3 minute walk. Nevertheless, you live in absolute privacy.
Kaltern am See is located in South Tyrol, a land at the crossroads of German and Italian culture.
It is also a land of scenic extremes. Rugged and barren, with the Dolomites (UNESCO natural heritage), where the mountaineering legend Reinhold Messner earned his first spurs, and the eternal ice, where the 5000-year-old glacier mummy “Ötzi” was found.
The landscape in the south is characterized by picturesque wine villages, imposing castles and numerous historic residences. If you didn't see the Schlern, the Rosengarten and a corner of the Marmolada in the distance and hear most people speaking German, you would think you were in Tuscany.
Kaltern's local mountain is the Mendel, accessible by funicular and an ideal starting point for numerous hikes. Just 2 km to the south is Lake Kaltern, the warmest bathing lake in the Alps.
In and around Kaltern there are many of the best wineries and wine producers in South Tyrol.
From a culinary point of view, you are spoiled for choice: from rustic, rural pubs to typical Italian pizzerias and Michelin-starred restaurants, everything is within easy reach.
South Tyrol's winemakers and chefs have been among the most award-winning in Italy for years.
Highlights are offered throughout the year: from concerts and music festivals to village festivals and culinary weeks to living traditions and challenging sporting events.
Being active
Kaltern is an ideal starting point for a variety of hikes, exciting cycling excursions of all levels of difficulty, relaxing swimming in Lake Kaltern (the warmest bathing lake in the Alps) and Lake Montiggl, climbing tours, golfing, windsurfing, tennis and skiing (you can reach 7 ski areas in around 45 minutes: Cermis, Obereggen, Gröden, Seiseralm, Reinswald, Meran 2000, Ulten-Schwemmalm ), snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in winter.
Cities in vicinity
Bolzano is just 15 km from Kaltern. In this old trading town you can stroll through the famous arcades and the colorful fruit market and also visit the Ötzi Museum.
The picturesque spa town of Merano/Meran with the award-winning gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle is 30 km away.
Trento/Trento, a typical, purely Italian provincial town with charm, is just 40 km away and Verona is 100 km away.
