Enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the untouched Finnish nature in this cozy, modernized cabin set by the endless lake. Nested at the tip of the private peninsula, the cabin offers complete privacy with only birds and reindeers to be seen around. Relax by the fireplace, indulge in the rustic sauna set by the sandy beach, go exploring using the complementary rowing boat, or simply enjoy slow life, fresh air and life little pleasures! Our cabin has no running water and the toilet is outside. It is a 30 m² (c.300 sqft) cabin on the shore of Lake Kuusamojärvi. The cabin sleeps four people and is equiped with A/C and modern kitchen. Sauna is located near by the cabin and feautures another refridgerator for drinks and a changing room. Both cabin and sauna have covered terasses with scenic views of the lake and sunset.

Our stay in the cabin was wonderful, with stunning views all around. Olga was always there when we needed something, making sure we're comfortable. The sauna is the best part of the cabin, really something special. We enjoyed complete peace, all by ourselves for days, and even saw some husky sleighs passing by. The fireplace made everything extra cozy. It's the perfect place for anyone wanting to take a break and find some quiet.
Ihanan tunnelmallinen mökki, josta löytyi kaikki tarvittava. Sijainti upea ja rauhallinen. Olga vastasi todella nopeasti viesteihin ja oli oikein avulias, suosittelen :)
We had a great time at this beautiful Mökki. It’s a perfect place to calm down and to enjoy the Finnish cottage life. You should be aware that there is no running water and only an outhouse (as a toilet) to use during your stay. The interior design of the cabin is really nice and we mostly enjoy the Finnish wooden sauna. Since our stay was during the winter time we could recommend to bring some spikes for your shoes to make sure you can safely get from the main house to the sauna (in case the snow becomes really hard and slippery). Olga always answered us immediately and and help us out even in advance of our stay. For anyone who’s looking for a remote off-grid cabin in Kuusamo/ Ruka area - this is a great pick.
Sehr schöne Lage direkt am See, praktisch keine anderen Menschen drum herum. Wir haben in drei Tagen nur zwei Menschen mit Snowmobil in der Ferne vorbei fahren sehen. Wir waren im März da und uns wurde ein Eisloch im See vorbereitet, um Wasser zu pumpen. Das Häuschen war warm, als wir rein kamen, sehr angenehm! Da wir mitten in der Nacht anreisten, war es bei Dunkelheit ein bisschen schwierig, sich zurecht zu finden, aber wir hatten von Olga eine gute Beschreibung bekommen, sodass es funktionierte. Die Sauna war auch sehr schön! Auf jeden Fall eine klare Empfehlung für Leute, die ein kleines Abenteuer ohne fließend Wasser haben wollen...

The cabin is located on the shore of Lake Kuusamonjärvi, great for boating and fishing. During the winter season, you can go skiing or snowmobiling on ice, right from the cottage. There are good tracks in the vicinity of the cabin.
The cottage is located c. 20 min drive from the center of Kuusamo and Kuusamo Airport. You can get to and from the cabin by taxi, but we recommend having a car to get around. You can pick up/drop off a rental car directly at Kuusamo Airport. All the essential services and shops are located in Kuusamo. There are also several reindeer and husky farms and national parks located within 1h drive from the cabin, as well as Ruka downhill ski resort.
