Dairy Cottage is our lovely spacious self contained cottage, dogs welcome! A truly peaceful setting, just a short walk along a quiet lane to the stunning Martin Down, offering miles of countryside walking to suit all ages and abilities. Look out for wild hares and amazing birdlife. Back in the cottage's gardens you will be welcome to collect fresh eggs from our hens and say hello to our donkeys. You will have a designated garden area but are also welcome to use our kitchen garden for picnics. Dairy Cottage has two bedrooms, both ensuite. Each bedroom has its own wide staircase from the ground floor which affords great privacy. Downstairs the open plan living/dining and kitchen are bright and spacious, there is also a desk and filing cabinet provided for office work.

Sue was very helpful all the way through. She very kindly allowed us to arrive early, with 3 dogs this was appreciated. She showed us around and told us of some walks for the dogs having already informed us of dog friendly pubs. The donkeys are very friendly as are the chicken. An added bonus is the free eggs. We would definitely recommend staying here. The village is pretty and very peaceful. Sue and Mark are very helpful hosts.
We have just returned from a lovely 2 nights at Sue and Mark's cottage. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The cottage has everything that you need, was spotless and cosy. The walks from the cottage are wonderful and seeing the donkey's and chickens was also a highlight - as were the fresh eggs. Sue recommended quite a few pubs to try in the area and we tried The Queen's Head in Broadchalke and The Royal Oak in Swallowcliffe - both were superb and a short drive from the cottage and we are glad we booked (which Sue suggested) as they are clearly popular. The cottage is ideal for a few days break away and we look forward to returning. We highly recommend a stay here.
We had a wonderful stay at The Dairy. It was clean, comfy beds with lovely linen. We appreciated the welcome pack, very kind and the pub recommendations. Lovely walks from the cottage for our spaniel and my daughter loved the donkeys. Sue was so kind to let her Groom them,it made her day. I would recommend The Dairy for anyone that wants to switch off and enjoy a relaxing stay.
We had an incredible stay with Sue and Mark! the cottage is lovely and cosy, plenty of space for 2 couples and 3 dogs. Sue could not have been more welcoming and was really helpful with lots of local recommendations for places to eat, and there was also lots of helpful information about nearby walks. The cottage is also well located, about 40 mins from multiple beaches as well as to multiple nature reserves/the new forest. Of course special mention also has to go to Cocoa and Ollie the friendliest donkeys I have met! Thank you so much for having us to stay!
Lovely location, super comfy beds and some great recommendations from Sue for places to eat.
