There is a park at the east edge of town that has history with it. You can walk on the road through the park and read a few signs about the Native American school that used to stand there. An old water tower in the back is the only remains of what used to be a busy operation….. Every year over Labor Day weekend, a Native American Powwow is held in the arena. A neat sight to see!
Along Main Street, there are a few old buildings of the long ago Colony. The one building is a museum, which is open by appointment only. They have lots of artifacts in the windows though that are neat to see. The first part of December, there is an arts show held in the museum. A good time to come see the history of Colony!

Weatherford is a 20 min drive away where you can access lots of fast food restaurants, Walmart, gas stations and lots of other little shops. Or visiting the park is another great idea!
