My family had a wonderful time at Josh's property. It overlooked the river and was a short drive away from all the amenities of Lakefield. There is a pathway where you can walk along the riverside as well. Large open concept space and had the homey feel to it!

Josh’s place was located in the centre of lake field, which is about less than 2 hours drive from downtown Toronto. The place is walking distance to lake field town in which you can access a few restaurants, a 24 hour foodland market and local shops. The place is exactly as it is described, clean, equipped with the essentials for cooking, great lakeview and a nice trail that leads to beach/playground area which our little one enjoyed every day. The place is also very peaceful and quiet, a perfect getaway if looking to slow down pace of life. Restaurant options are limited so would highly recommend bring own food to cook, alternatively there is a 24 hour foodland market within 2 minutes drive distance that sells everything you need, the price point is slightly higher though so best to bring food from your local grocery store if possible. 10 minute driving distance to river view zoo which is free admission and has an awesome playground for kids if coming over with kids.

Myself and a couple of my wedding guests stayed at Josh's space for my wedding weekend. The space was nice and big, with a beautiful deck that we took full advantage of and enjoyed thoroughly. It also turns out that Josh and his company were the ones who catered out wedding rehearsal dinner, and the food was delicious!

It was cosy and comfortable staying at The Cwtch and we enjoyed the outdoors activities the location offers: sandy beach within walking distance, kayaking on Otonabee River and Katchewanooka Lake. Cottage was clean and inviting and the hosts are very responsive and friendly.
