Our historic property features two intimate private guest stays, a stone barn, and a sleeping facility for pilgrims of the Route de Compostela. All were created with an eye toward embracing and harnessing nature’s beauty and welcoming warm company. *YOUR PRIVATE GUESTHOUSE* "La Cabane" will be your private, snug hide-away here at La Bessayrie. With its traditional kitchen & lounge area on the ground floor and the bedroom on the 1st, La Cabane is the ideal escape for just the two of you. Enjoy your morning coffee in the private outside corner. Your own supplied kitchen has everything you need to cook an intimate dinner. *LA CUISINE* Don’t feel like cooking? Join us in "La Cuisine", the heart and centre of la Bessayrie. Chef and co-owner Steven is passionate about using beautiful local, hand-harvested products, grown on and around the site and transforms them into classic dishes with expert technique. Join us for dinner (4x a week) in La Cuisine, where food, wine, and conversations flow you while you bond with other guests. Un lugar hermoso y muy tranquilo para disfrutar de la naturaleza y una atención muy cálida por parte de ambos 😊 Sentimos que todo estuvo hecho con mucho amor, la cena, el ambiente, la musica, el desayuno 🥰, la decoración, todo. Lamentamos no haber podido quedarnos mas tiempo pero es una muy buena excusa para volver 🤗
Comment décrire en quelques mots un véritable petit coin de paradis ... ? Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans la "Cabane" chez Mira et Steven ! Nous avons déjà hâte d'y revenir.
Tout d'abord, c'est un lieu magique, paisible, magnifique. Ensuite, il y Mira et son époux Steven qui vous accueillent avec un sourire immense. On sait à cet instant qu'on a fait le bon choix et que ce séjour sera inoubliable. La maison est sobre, élégante dans sa décoration. Tout est beau, sans superflus et calme, si calme. Nous avons eu la chance de dîner à la table d'hôtes et le repas était très très bon, élaboré avec des produits locaux. Merci encore à Mira et Steven pour cette belle parenthèse.
Un endroit hors du temps, une belle parenthèse. Mira et Steven nous ont vraiment bien accueilli. Nous y retournerons c’est sûr !
Tout était parfait, la vue est à couper le souffle , les hébergements sont soignés et décorés avec beaucoup de goût, Mira et Steven nous ont accueilli avec beaucoup de chaleur et sont à l'écoute de leurs hôtes et surtout ne pas oublier la table d'hôtes digne d'un chef, une cuisine simple mais riche en saveurs. L'environnement est incroyable, un havre de paix en pleine nature. Nous reviendrons car séjourner une nuit ne permet pas de profiter pleinement de cet endroit enchanteur.

A scenic drive deep into the UNESCO World Heritage-listed wilds in the South of France is only the start of your journey of rest. Near the charming town of Conques and perched on the banks of the Dourdou river, La Bessayrie pops up in the foothills of the Conques valley, a jaw-dropping scenery of rolling landscapes, hidden valleys, and lush farmland.
The Via Podiensis (GR 65), also known as ‘Chemin du Puy’ begins in Le Puy-en-Velay and connects with the Camino Frances at St-Jean-Pied de Port in the French Pyrenees. This ancient route is a true walker's dream that takes you through pristine surroundings. It is famous for its fairly mountainous path with frequent ups and downs. Follow some wonderful trails through an astonishing scenery of rolling landscapes, hidden valleys and lush farmland. The Puy Route is great for hiking and biking, and is considered moderately challenging.

My husband Steven & I started this journey in 2017, searching for our own little hideaway - a place to recharge and unwind in the lush, green countryside of Aveyron. We let go of our Michelin-star restaurant Het Land in Belgium, and together with friends & family we renovated and built La Bessayrie. Today, we are ready to share this special little spot with you. We truly hope La Bessayrie will give you as much joy as it gives us.
