The apartment is spacious and comfortable with everythink you might need for your stay. The apartment is located on a farm 7 km from Borgarnes and 80 km from Reykjavik. The farm is 1 km from road nr 1. The view from the apartment and the surrounding area is very beutyfull. We have horses, chickens and dogs on the farm. The horses are very friendly and love attention. This is a very good spot to view the northern lights from late august-april if the sky is clear we can usually see them. The space The apartment is located in a 4 apartment building with a private parking space. This apartment is on one floor spacious 73 sqm with 1 large bedroom with a 180x200cm bed and a smaller bedriom with a 80x200cm bed that can be changed to 160x200cm. The kitchen is large very well equipped with a dining area, there is a good selection of coffee, tea and hot coco, there are also spices and oils for cooking. There is also a washing machine and a dryer in the kitchen that is free to use. The bathroom has a very good shower seperate from the toilet room. The living room has a tv with netflix, 1 person could sleep in the sofa. The water is electrically heated with a 290L tank that should be sufficient for 4 persons.

非常舒适的一套房子，细节处很有品味。厨房特别赞，从小窗户望出去景色很美。主人很热心，随时回答我们的问题。这是我们抵达冰岛的第一站，有家的感觉。可惜没有太多的时间探索他家周边，小山丘很有感觉，就是风有些大，但是看朝阳很好！希望有机会再来！
This was our favorite accommodation on our trip. The scenery from the top of the rocks outside is so beautiful. The house was very spacious and clean. I highly recommend and would happily stay here again if I find myself back in Iceland.
Die Unterkunft ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Wir haben eine Nacht verlängert, da es uns so gut gefallen hat. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön und sehr gut geeignet für einen Tagesausflug auf die Halbinsel Snaefellsnes. Halldor stellt vielfältige Information zur Gegend zur Verfügung und ist äußerst freundlich. Wir konnten auch die Pferde streicheln und mit Brot füttern. Ein kleines Highlight 😊
Splendida casa con tutti i confort ed anche oltre, arredo ricercato elegante ed Essenziale. In più ottima posizione per vedere l’aurora boreale che infatti abbiamo visto! Super consigliato.
La casa de Halldor es muy acogedora y amplia. Està en una zona cerca del norte y de Reykjavík. La casa tiene de todo y está muy bien condicionada. El día que llegamos hacía muchísimo viento. Nosotros solo estuvimos 1 día pero es un buen sitio para pasar mas días.

The Krumsholar farmland was one of the first to be settled around 870 when the viking Skallagrimur Kveldulfsson came with his crew, the history says that the night before his death he rode his horse to Krumskelda and buried his treasure there to hide from his famous son Egill Skallagrimsson. Krumskelda is located 5 minute walk from the apartment. The trasure has been searched for throughout the ages but has not been found.
Walking around the farmland can be quite spectacular specially on a beautyfull day or evening but wearing hiking boots is adviced.

I live on the farm with my wife Audur and cats, dogs, chickens and horses. We live in a seperate house that is located below the apartment building where the 4 apartments are located. My parents in-laws spend weekends and their vacations in 1 of the apartments with their friendly flat coated retriever dog Helga my mother in-law is also a co-host in the apartments. 2 of the apartmets are rented out for guests full time.
