Relax with the whole family at this peaceful home immersed in nature. This secluded private estate is 12 acres with a private gorge in the woods! The backyard is spacious and accommodates your entire family and animal friends. A combined Kitchen / Living space brings family together for meals, and the ultra private back deck and patio is your spot for connection around the fire and stargazing. 10 minutes to Ithaca and Cornell. This home has 3 bedrooms - a master bedroom with king sized bed, ensuite clawfoot soaking tub and door to the backyard. The second bedroom has a queen poster bed with box spring and firm mattress and sunset views. The third bedroom is a flex space - double futon is either a bed or couch, and a desk and chair complete the remote workspace. In the living room, a large couch could be another sleeping space for child or smaller person. A dining table that seats up to 6 divides the living from the kitchen. A fully equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing meals. The private gorge runs alongside the 12 acre mostly wooded property. A private driveway has plenty of parking for 3 or 4 cars. This is your own retreat paradise for as long as you'd like to stay. No part of the property or house is shared with others.

We enjoyed a week's stay at Christopher's place with our two dogs. It was so easy to be there, as there were no limitations on where the dogs could go in the house. The back yard is immense! The dogs do need to be on lead, as Christopher clearly says, and, yes, there are ticks, as promised. :-) We had terrific walks down to the gorge, where the pups enjoyed swimming. The house is quiet and tranquil, and the simple, comfortable furnishings made us feel right at home. Christopher was friendly and available but never intrusive...the perfect host! Thoughtful touches included snacks and ready-to-heat meals in the fridge! We would happily book again.
We had a great time visiting Ithaca area and staying here. The house is a scenic 10 min drive to Ithaca and well situated for any local trips. The house was clean and on a quiet space of land with a gorge running through. The owner was very communicative and available if we had any issues, which we did not. Overall a great trip.

First of all, Christopher is a fantastic host! Very friendly, responsive, and understanding. The place is accurately described in the listing. It is situated in a rural part of Lansing- but about 10 minutes to the Ithaca mall and grocery. The home is well supplied with toiletries and kitchenware- we felt welcomed. It was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. We also felt that our dog was welcome in the house- the host provided baby gates for the mudroom if our dog wanted to stay there. We stayed there for the Christmas-NYE holiday, and felt at home there!
We stayed at Christopher’s place over Thanksgiving. Our son lives in a small apartment in Ithaca. The house and property were spotless and we had a perfect stay. The house and grounds are peaceful, silent, and restful. The yard was large enough to exercise our Labrador and the house is only 10 minutes away from the Lansing trail system. Christopher’s attention to detail meant that we had everything at hand to cook a full Thanksgiving dinner. It felt like we were together at home for the holiday. It was perfect. And Christopher clearly thought about what unexpected needs his guests might have and had items like new toothbrushes and disposable razors available if we needed them. Again, it was a perfect fit for our family and we will stay with Christopher every time we visit Ithaca if the house is available.

We are in the country in Lansing, NY. Minutes from Ludlowville falls, and 10-15 minute drive from Ithaca downtown or Cornell University. This neighborhood is safe and happy. A morning run or bike ride will bring you past organic dairy farms and family homes.
Parking is easy and cars are needed to get anywhere. You could easily spend a few days in a mini-retreat immersed in nature. No light pollution! Sleep to the sound of water cascading down the gorge after a rainfall.
