Yuta’s service and the house were both beyond our wildest dreams. Unbeatable location to visit Kenroku-en, Kanazawa castle, and anything else you wish to do in Kanazawa. The house is unbelievably beautiful, and clean. The hot tub was a welcome addition after so much walking. Yuta is an incredible host. He met us at check in and was very thorough and friendly with his instructions on how the house works. He also gave us multiple recommendations for food and bars that ended up being highlights of our stay. Book this house, and then book 2 extra days. You will thank yourself for the extra time in Kanazawa in such a beautiful home!

Out of all the airbnb's I've stayed at over the years, Yuta's place in Kanazawa is by far my favorite! The house is a beautiful 100 year old Japanese style house with authentic old charm but modern amenities. The house felt as though it should be a museum itself- one of the most gorgeous old homes filled with such beauty and Japanese detail. The serene garden outside made us never wanted to leave the house! Yuta is incredibly friendly and helpful- he answered all our questions and was so friendly and wonderful to talk to. The house is located about a 5 min walk to the most beautiful Kenroku-en garden and castle. It's also a short walk to the two gorgeous geisha districts, the market and samurai districts. The location is simply perfect. We also rented a car to visit Takayama and there were some car parking spots. We LOVED this place and when we return, we will definitely be staying here. I could not recommend this place enough!
Very cute, spacious, old-style Japanese home. My group of 8 people had an awesome time here. Plenty of room! With a big group, it’s so nice to have 2 bathrooms and 2 showers (all of which were separated with their own doors). Great host. Awesome location. The perfect spot to stay with a small or large group. I’d absolutely stay here again!

Kanerokutei Oyado is one of Kanazawa's leading one-room-only accommodation facilities. It is available as a machiya (old japanese house) for private use and can only accommodate one guest per day. The two-storey, two-bedroom house has a kitchen and an open-plan bathroom with a view of the garden, making it a spacious and private place to stay with family or close friends.
Kenrokutei Oyado is run by genuine Kanazawa person who have renovated, built and designed the property. It is conveniently located 5-7 minutes walk from Kenrokuen Garden and within walking distance of various tourist attractions.
15 minutes by bus from Kanazawa Station. You will get off at the bus stop under Kenrokuen(兼六園下 is better) and it is a 5-minute walk. It is also a 10-minute taxi ride from Kanazawa Station. Our house is close to Kenrokuen Garden, so we hope you will use it as a base for sightseeing in Kenrokuen Garden.
We have a parking space in front of the building. Please contact us in advance if you are coming by car, as the parking space is a little tight.
