Comfortable, airy, newly-refreshed home with pool, 3 blocks from Paseo Montejo. A generous entry hall with arched doorways and local art welcomes you into the house, which has 2 spacious bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms, king-sized beds and cotton linens. A comfortable living room with patio access separates the bedrooms allowing privacy. The bright, well-equipped galley kitchen adjoins the dining room and opens onto the courtyard. Open and covered terraces around the private pool offer spaces for lounging, working or dining comfortably in small groups in sun or shade. Additional private workspace in the master bedroom. A/C and ceiling fans are in all common rooms and bedrooms, as well as ceiling fans under the covered terraces. 2 blocks to Parque de Santa Ana and 4 blocks to restaurants on C 47 'Culinary corridor'. Has a garage with an automatic door suitable for a smaller car, and free on-street parking (though a car is not needed to get around).
This is a great house, and Laura is a great host It’s quiet, peaceful always a nice breeze in the courtyard and the pool is nice Lots of places in walking distance you’ll have a great time
Loved our stay, the private pool was such a treat with sun on it all morning until the early afternoon and the place was very well set up 💖
After a busy day exploring Merida and surrounding activities, I took such pleasure returning to Casa Ligera at the end of each day. The place is bright, airy, serene and so comfortable. I loved having my coffee each morning out in the covered nook by the pool. If I had any questions or issues both Lizbeth and Laura were quick to respond. Without hesitation, I would recommend Casa Ligera.
Laura's home is beautiful and in a great location that is easily walkable to most of Mérida's charms. It is exactly as pictured and we (two couples) were very comfortable during our two week stay! The house rules changed without notification after booking which was an unpleasant surprise, though we did book four months in advance. Check the fine print often. We recommend Laura's home to anyone looking to explore this beautiful part of Mexico:)
The place is a great location in downtown Merida. Easy to walk and drive to various places I love city living The place was nice inside. It was a nice oasis in the middle of the city. There were issues with place when we arrived but the owner team was responsive and work hard to resolve the issues
Santa Ana is highly desirable location - a residential neighbourhood within close walking distance of many popular restaurants, cafes, galleries, bars and shops while still being just far enough away from busy nightlife if you choose to have a quieter evening. Walking distance to shops (1/2 block to SIX beer, drinks and breakfast items on Calle 64, and 3 blocks Extra convenience store on Calle 47. At the corner is E-Core great OVEN pizza, and 4 blocks to Banorte ATM on Paseo Montejo & Calle 43. For more serious grocery shopping, you can stock up at Walmart on Paseo Montejo (a 7mn UBER ride or 20 min walk along the beautiful, shady Paseo), go to one of the other local supermarkets, or stop at Chedraui itzáes supermarket on the way from the airport. You can also use the Cornershop app to have groceries delivered. On Saturdays the Slow Food Market on Calle 33d featuring organic local groceries, is a 4 mn UBER ride or 15 min walk (stop at Chicken Itza on the way for fresh rotisserie chicken). 3 blocks to El Barrio for breakfast or brunch on Calle 58, or to the stunning Casa T'ho with local artisan boutiques and restaurant on Paseo Montejo. 2 blocks to shops, weekend vendors, great local food and juice stalls in historic Parque de Santa Ana and 4 blocks to many great restaurants at El Corredor Gastronómico on Calle 47.
Taxis are safe, Uber currently operates in Merida and is very reliable. A public bus stops on the nearest corner. Ask the property manager what bus to take to where.
自我介绍
Hi. I live mostly in downtown Toronto, sometimes in Georgian bay and sometimes in Mérida Mexico. When I travel in cities, I'm pretty low key, like to be able to prepare my own food, and have a nice outdoor spot to have a glass of wine, share a meal or have a morning coffee, and easily walk to shops and restaurants. As I host I like to share an experience I would enjoy myself and hope others enjoy it too !
