Beautiful penthouse apartment only a few minutes walk from the city center. Designed in a natural wooden theme, with two balconies and THE view over all of Tromsøs sightseeing treasures like the Arctic Cathedral, the cable car or Tromsdalstinden. Bright open-plan kitchen/dining/living room area, bathroom with washer and two bedrooms offer more than enough space for up to four guests. Perfect for families, friends or business travelers. Parking on-site in the summer, but off-site in the winter. Large, modern and well-equipped kitchen with all the kitchenware you need to prepare every meal of the day, including an induction stove top, oven, microwave, water kettle, French press, toaster, fridge with a freezer unit, dishwasher and more. Spacious living room with two sofas, an armchair, table, Smart TV and large windows that not only fill the room with light but also give you the chance to overlook the beautiful city of Tromsø. You can enjoy the fantastic view also from the dining table that is in the living room as well, right next to the window. And if you want to breathe in some fresh Nordic air, just go outside to the balcony and relish the panorama from there. A second balcony is on the backside of the apartment and it's accessible from the entrance hall where you´ll find another two armchairs and hangers for your coats. Two bedrooms with a comfy double bed each. In one of the bedrooms there is a big walk-in closet with plenty of storage space and an iron with ironing board available for you to use. Bed sheets/linens are provided for each guest. Nice bathroom with a toilet, a sink with storage and a large shower equipped with massage jets that will wake you up in the morning and calm you down in the evening after a long day. A washing machine, a drying rack as well as a hair dryer are also at your disposal. A set of towels (large and small) is provided for each guest and shower-gel/shampoo is available in the shower. Even though our housings are self-contained we'll provide you with some toilet paper rolls, dishwasher detergent (liquid and tablets), cloths, each guest with a set of beddings and towels, so the first thing you don't have to do is to rush out and shop necessities - and you can always order more delivered to your doorstep, if you need it.

What an amazing place!! When we entered the apartment and saw the view, it really was a 'WOW' moment. It was clean and very comfortable and helped make our visit to Tromsø a truly magical time. Thank you!
The apartment is spacious, clean, and comfortable. The view was gorgeous and it was nice to have the option to enjoy it from the deck or living room. We also loved the shower and heated bathroom floor. The walk to the house from downtown is uphill but worth the extra effort for the privacy and perspective of Tromsø. We hope to return in the future .
Our stay here was absolutely lovely! Our drop-off taxi driver struggled to find the house and we ended up having a difficult walk to get around to the house, but our taxi leaving had no issues, so I feel like this may have been a one-time issue with that specific driver. The view is as pictured and INCREDIBLE in-person. The apartment was quiet and private, which was much needed at that point in our trip. I highly recommend staying here, between the quiet privacy and view!

The neighborhood is quite, but close to the city center. Approximately 10-15 minutes walk. Its lighted pedestrians all the way down town, so it's safe to walk to the city.
You can take the bus from Alfheimveien to the center if you prefer. The most popular bus lines is within a walking distance of 5 - 10 minutes.
The airport is about 8km away from the apartment.

Hi, I'm Joachim Giæver, and I'm a host from Tromsø under the name Giæver Vertskap (means: Hosting). Giæver Vertskap was established in 2017 with a vision to create better experiences for guests in Tromsø. I started small, in our guest room, in 2013 and has since welcomed guests from all over the world. I was thus one of the very first Airbnb hosts in Tromsø. This type of hosting was considered a niche, but I quickly realized that my passion was to always believe in the concept. The feedback from guests confirmed that there was a need in the market, and we are proud to have been invited by Airbnb to Paris to represent Airbnb Open in 2015 – an event for hosts from all over the world. This provided important lessons and motivation to invest in this market. When tourism began to pick up speed in the 2016/2017 season, there were consequently many people who took an interest in Airbnb. In this context, I was contacted based on guests’ feedback on my profile. The season of 2016/2017 was in many ways the birth of the company, which at this point had seven rental units. In line with demand, the company has since then increased, both in scope, but not least in experience and expertise. Based on the genuine interest of the guest’s total experience, and not least our own passion, we have our own experiences from trips, experiences and accommodation that we recommend. We do this to ensure that the products and services we offer are in line with our vision and our original concept. Today, Giæver Vertskap has a number of varied housing units in and around the Tromsø region. The company is professional and well thought out in all aspects of the business, and I am is still active in the operation, also in the relationship with guests.
