Feels so private. Amenities, particularly in kitchen are best I’ve experienced in any rental. Amazing views. We have already reserved for next year.

The home is an interesting mid-century depicted perfectly in photos. The setting is magical. Set back from Dry Creek Rd. and overlooking the vineyards. It is very close to 101 and you can hear the freeway but it was not off putting. We were able to walk to Healdsburg Plaza daily which was a treat! So many great restaurants and bookstores. Coffee at Black Oak was a ritual. The hosts are magnificent. They were incredibly quick to respond when we had a question and when a storm created a bit of damage. We hated to leave!

This home is a GEM. 2 outdoor decks and sunroom all West facing with plenty of afternoon/evening sun. Perfect for the Cool Feb/March days. We spent many evenings having dinner and drinks on either the deck or in the sunroom. Amazing view to the west over the vineyards overlooking Dry Creek and the mountains. Just stunning sunsets each night. The location allowed easy walking (20 minute) access to Downtown Healdsburg via Foss Creek Trail way. Rooms were well appointed and comfortable. This will be our AirBNB benchmark for stays in the Sonoma area.

自我介绍
We are sisters-in-law. Susie’s brother, Karl, designed the house for our mother, a Healdsburg native, in 1981. The land has been in our family since the 1940’s. The entire family has enjoyed coming here for the 35 years that our mother lived here. When Susie and Karl’s mother (Susan’s mother-in-law) passed away, we couldn’t imagine parting with the property. Friends and relatives begged us to keep it. With a vacation rental we could continue to enjoy the house ourselves. We have had root beer floats in the redwood grove on hot summer days and wine on the lower deck in the evening under the oak tree. Breakfast and lunch on the upper deck are nice, and we usually eat dinner inside looking out over the vineyards. Our mother knew every square inch of this property. She planted fruit trees as well as ornamentals. When she planted a stand of redwood trees, she had no idea that trimming some of the branches would create a beautiful "room" inside the trees. Susan and Karl live in Berkeley and Susie lives in San Jose. We are all still working, but we come up as often as we can, rain or shine.
