Overall a nice place and a good stay. Backyard leads out into the woods for a hike up the hills or a walk underneath the large powerlines running behind the property. Roads were clear of snow, driveway was clear of snow. House feels like it was furnished in 70s, and it was located a few streets off the highway so there was road noise except in very early hours. The reason it's only 3 stars: front blinds across door weren't working, exhaust fan over stove not working, the sliding screen door didn't quite match up at the seams and had to be carefully navigated around the main door handle (easy enough for an adult but not for our 5 year old). House had a very potent smelling cleaner (maybe it was a laundry detergent?) and I had to air the house out a bit when we first came in, and it was hard to fall asleep with the smell in the sheets. Wifi didn't work at all; the modem connected to our devices but there was no connection to the internet from there.
House is old and cold. Upstairs room looks like an attic converted space and is not child safe. Beds are too close to hard wooden pillars and kids can get hurt badly. Fireplace is not kid safe as well. Beds are hard especially bunk beds and my kids couldn’t sleep on them. One room doesn’t have a heater and it got really cold at night. Kitchen is missing some basic amenities like sugar, coffee filter (there was coffee powder though). First aid kit was not found - they only had bandaids in the bathroom. Most importantly wifi didn’t work at all throughout our stay. Vacasa gave 40$ credit but it doesn’t make up for the inconvenience and the time spent trying to connect to wifi, failing, having to talk to customer service etc. Pricing was great on the unit but I guess you get what you paid for which is mediocrity. Avoid this rental and find a better home to stay even if you have to pay more.
It was a great location and enough space for 3 couples.
The place was very spacious and matched the photos from the listing. Quite a few kitchen items were dirty and some of the cabinets were falling apart. Other than that it was a great rental
There was garbage under the beds and in the kitchen drawers, there was dust and cobwebs, we had to clean ourselves, there were no sheets on the beds, the shower in a bathroom did not work, and so on.
