The center of the road is seasonal and not maintained October through April so there is limited amounts of traffic! Rural, quiet and peaceful. A short driveway with ample parking leads to the house. Designed by @hutsnyc, 'Lil Rita is 10x20' and full of modern touches with a simple style. The main living space on the first floor includes a cozy sitting area, dining table, kitchen and wet room. Up a ladder, enter the lofted bedroom with cushy mattress and fantastic views. Three large sliding doors let in the sights and sounds of the country. The forest canopy and woods that surround the cabin allow for a connection with nature. Whether you are a solo traveler looking for a reset, or if you are traveling with a friend or loved one, this is the intimate space you need to unwind. It was a wonderful getaway spot, serene and tranquil. My only concern was the unpleasant smell of the water. Aside from that, it lived up to my expectations

Nice and cute little house for a short weekend trip! Lots of good hiking around the area and very peaceful.
Had a nice time here! It was so nice being tucked away from everything especially with the snow. It really was a great place to unplug. Only thing I feel it needs is a couch or some sort or a futon. Bathroom has an odd setup. But we had a great stay regardless!
It was a perfect space to connect with nature and be at ease. I would definitely stay again

Delaware County NY is a four season vacation destination. In the summertime there are yard sales, farmers markets, fairs and more. Outdoor activities include hiking, biking and fishing. Fall is for leaf peeping. Drive down the country roads, pick apples and pumpkins and enjoy nearby town harvest festivals. Winter is packed full of activities. There are two ski centers nearby that offer tubing, skiing, snowboarding and cross country skiing (as well as summer activities like hiking, biking and concerts). Restaurants often showcase locally made or grown food like cheese, bread, meat, fruit and vegetables. Shops abound, there's always something to see!

A vehicle is necessary, there is limited or no transportation and taxi services.
Winter weather can be mercurial. Check the weather report for this area and plan your travel accordingly. 4WD or AWD vehicles are necessary between October through April when snow, ice and mud are likely. Snow plows do not operate on secondary roads between 8PM and 5AM so in the winter plan your travel accordingly. If you are unfamiliar with driving in the snow, particularly uphill, search online for tips. Sites like AAA have good information. The driveway is plowed and shoveled to the entrance. The driveway is plowed every several inches of fallen snow but if it is snowing, there may still be snow on the driveway. A shovel is provided, please keep the walkway maintained during your stay.
