Eugene's place was in a great DC neighborhood and was exactly as advertised. It was very clean, had a large TV, and although we didn't really use the patio it was nice to have. The parking situation was a little challenging as we were coming from out of town and were renting a car, therefore we didn't have the license plate and car info that is required for the street parking permit. Eugene did print us a permit last minute and left it for us to pick up. But for others renting a car, he usually asks for 3 days' notice with that information, which isn't really possible to have before you pick up the car. So I just wanted to note that for future guests. Also, the microwave was a little difficult to figure out how to use. Other than that we couldn't have asked for an easier stay.

This apartment is spotless, with comfortable beds and towels, and two good-sized bedrooms, along with the living room. Loved the back patio. Convenient location, about 13-15 min walk to metro, and 2 short blocks to a strip of cute restaurants and cafes in Mt. Pleasant. (And I absolutely fell in love with this neighborhood, it's gorgeous.) The reason it lost one star is that the modern and sleek appliances are Extremely frustrating to use. One night we were looking forward to heating up leftovers for dinner and the microwave control panel was absurd. I got it to work once but not the second time!! The range was frustrating too, but more manageable. And the modern showers -- a) the faucet is on the far inside, so you have to get splashed in the face with cold water when turning it on and b) could Not figure out the strange mechanism for adjusting the temp. Host is very responsive and overall we enjoyed our stay, but as someone who relies on reviews, I wanted to share our experience.

This property was exactly what I needed for my family's trip to DC. The location (close to the Metro) and proximity to the Metro to access landmarks and sightseeing are huge pluses. Eugene was extremely responsive and helpful with coordinating neighborhood parking and answering questions. The property was comfortable, private and extremely clean. I would definitely consider staying here again on our next trip back to DC.

The place was exactly how advertised. The location was great. There's a fabulous patio, but unfortunately we were too busy to use it. The house was extremely clean and met everything expectation.
