Fall asleep in this rustic, elegant glamping tent to the sound of owls, crickets and frogs, and awaken to the vibrant harmonies of birdsong. This wanderlust retreat is a peaceful space to replenish and awaken yourself as you get lost in the emerald moss, towering trees and historic stone walls. The Glamp Site: Elegant rustic 13 foot glamp tent nestled in the forest on the shores of a small spring fed lake. The Bell tent includes a double bed which folds into a couch. All linens including sheets, pillow cases, extra blankets for warmth. A sitting table with 3 seats. Board games, select books are also provided. Full towel sets are provided. Enjoy the enchanting remote control fairy lights woven around the interior of the tent. EXTRA GUESTS: A max of 2 extra guests are permitted, provided you the guest bring another tent as the bell tent only sleeps 2. CHILDREN: Not Recommended for Children under 5 as the Lake is not accessible from the shoreline, only from the dock. The shoreline is rough and marshy. There is a full kitchen inside the outdoor shelter protected from insects. The kitchen includes French press, kettle, dishes, utensils, pots, pans, metal bowls, Here you can prepare meals with a beautiful view of a mossy forest. There is a table with chairs to enjoy your meals. 2 Burner propane camp stove and Propane BBQ included. Drinking Water: We fill up a jug with fresh water for you. If more fresh water is needed CONTACT HOST. For washing dishes please use hand water pump to hand pump lake water (Used also for shower) Outdoor shower: The outdoor shower is surrounded by bug netting to prevent insects. The jug will be filled with lake water prior to guests arrival. However if the shower jug needs refilling, place the hose into the jug using the proper hook. The water will be cold unless you preheat the water on the propane stove first. Enjoy the firepit by the lake using the wood and kindling provided (ONLY IF NO FIRE BAN IS PRESENT) Composting Toilet: The composting toilet uses compostable bags and wood chips. After each use please add as many scoops of chips as needed. If the bag needs to be changed, use the bags provided in the container. Tie the used bag and place it in the large receptacle provided near the site. Feminine hygiene products (use provided receptacle beside toilet). The Lake: The Lake is spring fed and temperatures of the lake vary depending on the weather. The lake bed is primarily mud with a few lily pads. The depth is about 15 ft in the centre where the swim raft is located. Walk down the path along the lake from the glamp site and you will have full private access to the dock and swim raft. There is a canoe, floaties and a paddle board to use. The Land: Bordering thousands of acres of crown land you can enjoy 200 acres of diverse forests with winding trails through meadows of cherry trees and blackberries, to moss beds with towering oak trees over rocky ridges of the Canadian shield. History: This land was settled in the mid 1800s and the hosts live in the original homesteaders cedar cabin built in the 1850s. The stone walls around the property were built to remove stones from the potato fields and house the cattle for grazing. Enjoy wandering around this historic land. You might even find a relic from the past! No hunting , trapping or firearms allowed on premises! No motorized vehicles allowed on the trails excluding the trail that takes you to the site.
