The accommodation was generally comfortable and quite warm, but maintenance was rather poor. The front door was a little difficult to close and lock. Towels were provided but we had brought our own anyway. There was no milk but fortunately we had brought our own (almond) milk. The mattress and duvet quality was good. However the bathroom facilities need updating and maintaining - the main bathroom sink did not drain well so we did not use that during our stay. The ensuite sink was better, but the toilet flush was poor. There was no shelving in the shower to put the shower toiletries, and the shower head pipe leaked at the wall connection. There were no clear wifi code details given at check in but I did eventually find them a day or so later written on a small post-it note stuck on the back of the kitchen dresser cabinet. So overall, £88 per night was pretty expensive.

lovely stay at Fred's farm. The barn was cosy and warm. My twins enjoyed playing with the very friendly cat and two dogs! it was lambing season so we had a peak at some baby lambs on the farm. very nice stay.

It's what we expected. We wanted privacy with our family. Everything was good, the house was warm. Fred refunded us part of the toddler ( 9 months old ) as I had originally booked incorrectly. There are two shepherd dogs on the property ( very friendly, no aggression, very keen to play ball) and there was also a ginger cat, also affectionate but a bit wild. Fred gave us everything we needed, he gave us a BBQ and a place to cook, he also gave us rubber boots for walking and an umbrella. Thank you very much to the owners and also his wife brought us small treats for the new year. Fred gave a bottle of his home made cider ( good enough). If you want a peaceful and quiet vacation, this would be perfect for you.

Clean and well equipped. Quiet and peaceful. Could do with a wood stove, the underfloor heating not very effective and no heat in the bathroom where the floor was very cold to walk on and the shower did not work very well. It felt more like an outside toilet. The front door has a window and windows to the side all offering no privacy, could do with a curtain here as the living area is directly inside. Very dark outside at night time could do with an outside light so you can see where you walk when you step out of your car, safety could be an issue here. Many reviews talk about the homemade cider on offer but it's actually 5 euro per bottle, a bit pricy, and a large sign on the kitchen fridge advertising this is a bit off-putting. When I originally booked i accidently booked for one adult instead of two, when this was correctly pointed out to me by Fred I went to adjust the booking and noticed the price was increased from 80 to 85, this was a bit annoying in principle.
