The room was very pleasant to stay in, which was a good thing considering how much rain there is in Sorata during February! The wifi was fast enough for our work interviews and the surroundings are so peaceful and green. Guests walking with backpacks should know that the place is at the bottom of a hill that is a bit steep, but that’s what also gives you such tranquility and beautiful views of the green hillsides. Señor Luis was a very nice host who let us use the kitchen to cook and made us a nice breakfast of eggs, breads, butter and jam in the mornings. The only thing is that light sleepers may need a sleeping mask as the curtains are see-through, made from hessian. They let a lot of light in. It twas a little hard to find because G maps doesn’t show the road, so it took us a weird way, and the sign at the top of the hill has fallen. If you have the “maps . me” app, follow the route for hostal las piedras. It’s downhill from there.

La mejor estancia de mis vacaciones en Perú y Bolivia. La habitación tiene unas vistas espectaculares donde poder relajarte. El personal es muy amable. Sin duda, lo recomiendo cien por cien.

Nous avons passé deux belles journées dans l'hostal de Marisol et Randy. Nous avons été très bien accueillis, ils nous ont donné toutes les informations utiles sur Sorata et mis en contact avec un excellent guide ; nous avons aussi eu l'occasion de faire connaissance lors d'une première soirée très sympathique. Les chambres ont une vue magnifique sur la vallée et sont décorées avec goût. Encore merci!

We rented out 5 rooms as we were 10 people. The property is located at the end of a quiet street. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. You have access to a big kitchen and dining/living room space downstairs. We ate lots of yummy meals with food that we brought from La Paz and also played board games in the living room. We all enjoyed the view of Sorata from the balcony. One day we went to the Gruta which was pretty cool. It's a 20 min or so drive. Then you walk into a cave and can take a quick 10 min boat ride inside the cave. Another day we walked down to the river from the property and actually spent a good amount of time picking up trash. That's one thing the town of Sorata could improve upon. All in all I would recommend this place! My boys, aged 4 and 5, and my niece, aged 3, had a blast! Thank you Marisol and Randy.
