Booked this place with some friends, and I can confirm that it was a hit. We loved the homey feel of the cabin. We had a great time both inside and outside! The most loved thing was definitely the hottub. We highly recommend Jacob's place, and may even book again in the future!

We will diffidently be going back! Jacob was fantastic. He had the stove going which was nice and warm when we arrived. We were visiting our son/grandson who’s in the Hawkeye football team. Besides having the stove going he even had on the big 10 playing on the tv. It was such a warming welcome for us. He personally came to visit and gave us recommendations of places for Thanksgiving dinner. The bar/grill had food we took advantage of both for adults and kids. The staff was so friendly. Some adults went later watched karaoke which was so fun. We can’t wait to go in the summer and use the pool. There’s covered patio for entertaining by the pool with grills, food, drinks not counting the bar/grill at entrance of premises. I give it a 5 star all the way! So much better than a hotel. Thank you Jacob for your hospitality!!

This rustic place had the basics. The bed was super comfortable and was furnished with nice pillows, linens, and comforter. It seems like this cabin might be better suited for stays during the warmer months, as there was a pool, hot tub, and outdoor bar area. The biggest plus was that Jake was a very friendly host, who was willing to make our stay as comfortable as possible. There were a few inconveniences that need to be addressed (e.g., main door didn’t latch so could not be locked, the cold water handle on bathroom sink wasn’t functional), but I expect that those kinds of issues will be handled, as Jake seemed motivated to provide a positive experience for his guests.

We had a great time here! Tons to do with the pool, hot tub, and bar right down the street. Jacob even gave us a ride into Iowa City for the football game which was super helpful. Our group kept talking about when we were going to come back next - would definitely recommend!
