We had an incredibly enjoyable stay at our airbnb, which was a traditional but modern Japanese house that was immaculately clean and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable trip. It was spacious, modernly designed, and even included some delightful surprises like the shower room, which ended up being one of the highlights of our experience as Americans who often have different expectations when it comes to bathroom facilities during international travel. The city location was a perfect midway point between Osaka and Kyoto which made visiting both cities easy. Located just five minutes away from both the nearest train station and shopping mall by foot, there were plenty dining choices available nearby. Our host went above and beyond throughout our visit; they spoke perfect English, ensuring communication barriers never hindered us, and was present upon arrival to help us enter the home and even offered to help us with our luggage. I would rate this airbnb 10 out of 10.

This was a beautiful and convenient place to stay. For my son who took the train, a station is nearby and for me who drives, it borders 1/2hr to Kyoto and 1hr to main Osaka although the place is technically in Osaka district. We are avid skiers so having it 40mins away from Biwa Ski resort and onsens were a blessings. The mall is also behind so when you are tired and just want to chill, the super & restaurants are near. The house is fully equipped with air conditioned heater, gas heater and heated floor and toilets which is a blessings. Having another toilet upstairs is extremely handy. Covered carporch. It was very quiet at night and so meditative even when I sit outside in the cold to enjoy the winter air. In most airbnb, they provide you with one bath towel and I face towel, which makes it very unpleasant when 1 is staying for more than 2 weeks! This family provided us with 2 closet full. They came in to change bedsheets (2x) n clean toilets and wash towels! I recommended this 200%!
