This is the first bad review I have ever written on anything I've ever purchased/done. Checking in was easy and the host allowed us to check in early this was so helpful, we were very appreciative after traveling. The unit could be a wonderful air b&b if it was maintained. When we walked in there were dead insects in the sinks/bathrooms and bedrooms. The carpet is very stained and dirty. There was no coffee maker. The main thermostat in the living area would not turn on. Only one of the TVs worked, only had YouTube. My daughter started running around the living room while we were unpacking and slipped and fell behind the couch. We went to go pick her up and there was a HUGE puddle of water she was lying in. The washer was pouring disgusting water into the living room. The wood floor was all buckled. The host came, and said he would send maintenance but he was leaving town. We waited around all day and someone to come fix it. They shut the water off and said they needed to order a part.

Overall, our stay was good and we enjoyed the location in Great Falls, VA. The Airbnb unit is above the main house's garage and has 5 full baths and 4 bedrooms. The host was gracious and accommodating with our parking, but this place does need a little TLC to keep it updated. There was leftover food in the pantry / refrigerator, TVs didn't work, stains on bedroom carpets and the washing machine floods everytime you use it.

Overall this place had pluses and minuses. One the plus side: location, quietness and privacy of the grounds, size of rooms/bathrooms, and beds were comfortable. On the negative side: no coffee maker (only an electric kettle to boil water); beds were only queen size and not king as described; table and chairs in dining area were a bit wobbly; there was only a single knife and no measuring cups and spoons in the kitchen; and the TVs in the bedrooms were either unplugged and/or the remotes did not work (batteries need to be replaced?). I think the host should provide instructions on how to use the home entertainment equipment. There were 5 remotes in a drawer below the TV but we were only able to figure out how to use the Panasonic and Formuler remotes to watch Netflix or Youtube. Perhaps those were the only options but without instructions we were unable to tell. Great, Clean, Beautiful place, Will stay again. Amazing host that was very responsive!
