Our experience at Humanaika was inspiring. Andrés and his little piece of paradise were everything we hoped for. You can tell how passionate he is. The house is magnificent and has a story of its own. It had everything we needed for our stay. We spent most of our days sitting by the river, canoeing, and walking in places where few people ever will. At night, we cooked, curled up by the fire, played pool, and watched lightning through the window. It is only accessible by boat, so bring all of the necessary supplies if you do not expect to leave. For a small fee, you can get there via a public boat, private boat, or Andrés can provide transportation if available. There is a store and ice cream boat that come through periodically in the evening. You should not depend on those for everything. With enough advance notice and a small fee, Andrés will have any supplies delivered the next day. We can not say enough good things about our experience. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
