/A\ Colorado Cabin is an authentic A-frame located halfway between Silverthorne and Steamboat Springs! About 1 hour's drive from several major ski areas like Steamboat, Copper Mtn., or Winter Park and only 2 hours from Denver! This area is known as a Sportsman's Paradise. Wide-open public lands, big rivers, big game, motorsports, hunting, hiking, camping, fishing, rafting, and boating are all nearby. Wolford Mtn. Reservoir is 10 minutes away. Enjoy this perfect, dog-friendly adventure basecamp! /A\ Colorado Cabin is a cozy and comfortable home. It is private and quiet with gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains and trees. There is a private lake and horses on the neighboring property and if you look closely you might see coyotes playing. The main level has a mud room with washer/dryer, full bathroom, bedroom, large kitchen, dining area, and big living area with sleeper sofa and wood burning fireplace. The upstairs loft bedroom area features a king size bed. Please note that there are stairs to get into and out of the home as well as stairs up to the loft bedroom that do not make this home ADA accessible nor appropriate for younger children. My friends and I were delighted to stay at the A Colorado Cabin, I must say-it exceeded our expectations! It was remarkably warm/cozy, the wood burning stove added to the experience! The decor was a well balance of retro, mid-century and bohemian. I loved that the cabin is dog friendly, my dog Mack was in heaven! The host has a basket with lots of dog accessories, I found it to be a very thoughtful touch! There was an assortment of hot beverages and even an electric tea kettle for making tea! :) The water was hot and the shower pressure is amazing! The beds were extremely comfortable, and we slept great(I sometimes struggle with this at BNBs and hotels, because of a back injury). We took an evening stroll one night and were amazed by how clear the sky was and the beauty of the twinkling stars! All of the information regarding the cabin, our stay, check out, etc. was provided in a very clear way. I will be back and greatly look forward to staying at this lovely get away cabin again!
Don’t miss out on this amazing A-frame experience! Chelsea’s place was perfect for a weekend getaway in the mountains. Surrounded by beautiful views, the cabin was exactly what we needed for a weekend of relaxation. Her attention to detail was impeccable! She even left a little bag of treats and blankets for our pups. We would absolutely stay again!

This is a quiet, rural neighborhood in the mountainous Gore Pass area of Grand County. While the homes and properties are spaced out, there are still neighbors to consider and respect.
Maps apps should take you right to the house.
The roads are not well lit nor well marked. A 4WD or AWD vehicle is recommended in the snowy season (late September-May). The home is located 7 miles up a winding mountain-pass road. While this is maintained by the county and regularly plowed, the road can be snowy and/or icy. The road to the driveway is a gravel, dirt road.
There is plenty of uncovered parking in the circle driveway.
