Werner's place has a lot of character and is very quaint - even the outside bathroom! The place was clean and we were happy for our baby to crawl around and our toddler to sleep on the floor. The kids especially loved the toys. We picked this Airbnb as it had a bathtub (easier for the kids) and a toddler bed but it turns out the bedding arrangements have since changed. Werner was very accomodating and we used a blanket floor bed for our toddler instead. It was nice to stay outside the city for the second half of our trip and be able to use a car / have a parking spot to drive around.
We loved staying in this cute cottage, it was well equipped, beautifully decorated with a lovely homely feel. Highly recommended as a pied-à-terre for exploring Melbourne. Our dog was very happy here too and the good sized fully fenced yard was a real bonus for such a central city location.

Multicultural Richmond is best known for Victoria Street, or “Little Saigon”, with its bustling Asian grocery stores and eateries serving pho and bánh mì. Shoppers head to Bridge Road factory outlets for clothing, or to Church Street for furniture and design stores. Many of Richmond’s 19th-century hotels have been turned into happening bars, including the Corner Hotel, popular for its live indie gigs.
Newry Street is a wide street with plenty of on-street parking, unusual for Richmond. Tram 70, stop 13 - Swan Street, accessible via Edinburgh St is within a 500m walk of your location. Tram 70 will take you through the Swan Street shopping precinct, the MCG, Rod Laver Tennis precincts, the CBD via Flinders Street and straight to Docklands. Burnley station is less than 1km from your location. You can also use tram 75 if you prefer to travel via Bridge Road.
