The parking is free and does not require prior reservations.
Parking options:
Option 1: You have the option to park next to the dome. However, please note that the last 20 meters of access are not paved and may pose risks of damage to your vehicle. By choosing this option, you take full responsibility in case of any damage.
Option 2: We recommend parking at the camping area near the reception. This will allow you to fully enjoy the dome in a natural environment, without the reflections of your vehicle in the mirrored parts of the structure.
Access:
Please note that the beautiful access road passes through 3 tunnels with a maximum height of 2.50m. If your vehicle is taller, please contact us, and we will find a solution with pleasure.
From the camping parking lot at the end of the Vallon de Van road, you can cross the bridge over the river. Then, turn immediately left into the camping area. By following the path, you will see the dome at the back of the camping area on your right. The last 20 meters of access may be challenging with a vehicle, so we advise you to park your car in the parking area in front of the refreshment stand.
The camping area is also accessible by train and then bus. For information regarding schedules, you can consult the details on the TMR website.
Regarding activities, here is a non-exhaustive list of possibilities:
- Visit the Gorges du Dailley from Van d'en Bas (on the road at the tunnel exit)
- Mountain biking or hiking to the Salanfe Dam, at the foot of the Dents du Midi
- Climbing on several routes equipped for different levels
- Canyoning with No Limit Canyoning
- Swimming in the fresh river water
- Visit to the Zoo and swimming pool at Zoo des Marecottes
- Possibility to rent 2 eBikes upon request
- Wildlife watching or photogrpahy
