We two retired couples stayed 2 nights in Masham, a lovely, friendly walkable village with lots of trails and a short drive from several other villages and towns. There is an excellent butchers next door, as a well as a bakery, greengrocers, coffee shops, and fish and chippy close by. The building is 18th century which is amazing yet the house has full modern amenities, plenty of hot water, good plumbing and comfortable furniture. The welcome basket was greatly appreciated as was the stock of tea with extra provisions easily available next door. The value was excellent. The only negatives were a drafty lower floor, an uncomfortable mattress in bedroom 2, and some noise from the road and butchers. These would not prevent us from booking again and we are looking forward to returning. Thank you!

Lovely stay at Lavender cottage with my two boys. The cottage was spotlessly clean and so homely, just what we needed as a base to explore the area. Very thoughtful of the hosts to leave a welcome bottle of wine. We would definitely stay at the cottage again. Thank you.
